Joel Latibeaudiere 17:21 - Jul 1 with 2520 views | Tangledupin_Blue | Does anyone else think that he might be worth pursuing? Available as a free agent having left Swansea last week. Has been playing regularly in Championship. Aged 23 so plenty of time to improve. In my view is at least as good as what we have but younger than Woolfenden, Burgess and Edmondson. Would he be interested in coming here? Would his pay demands be too high? Does anyone else have any thoughts...

Joel Latibeaudiere on 17:26 - Jul 1 with 2474 views | Mullet | Swansea Blue has seen him live I believe as he does this weird thing of going to games Ipswich aren't playing in. He says he's toss or words close to that. Remember him from City and him being highly rated. But think he operates best in a 3 and would see him replace JD in our squad, played as the right-sided defender. With Clarke in, it would beg the question who then goes. As someone schooled in the Pep way, and having decent experience at this level I thought he'd work well here and offer plenty. That said, I've not seen him in the flesh or anything close to regular.

Woolfenden, at 24, is still improving year on year and will, hopefully, make the step up to Championship level successfully. I would expect hom to do so but it is not a given. I have greater concerns over whether Burgess and Edmundson will make the step. Burgess had a good second half of last season but neither he nor Fridge has looked emtirely convincing, even at L1 level. And, lovely man that he seems, and much improved, I have similar doubts over Donacien. If we play wih three CDs I would see Latibeaudiere on the right with Woolfenden in the middle and Burgess or Fridge (or a newcomer) on the left. If we play two CDs then Latibeaudiere and Woolfenden would challenge for the right side. It may even be that whichever of the pair misses out would be preferred as left CD ahead of Burgess or Fridge. I note your reservation based on Swansea Blue's comments. Would be interesting to hear again from TWTD's Abertawe correspondent.

Edmondson is more than good enough for championship his problem has been injuries last two seasons.

Exactly. Plus he already had a successful stint in the Championship with Derby. Will be a regular starter next season imho.

Thinking about Woolfie and Burgess, you would expect both to make the step up to the Championship. The unknown quantity is Burgess having made very few Championship appearances, (4 and his debut being against us). But on his performances last season, I can't see he'll have too many issues. So the question is where Edmundson gets his game time.

Fridge will win his place back. Burgess will probably be the one that makes way. I’m not convinced that he will handle the pace of the Championship with strikers regularly making runs in behind and being found by more skilful midfielders.

Joel. | |
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

No. But I have cocked up on this thread by completely forgetting about Harry Clarke - even after Mullet had mentioned him. I would think about passing it off as a senior moment but I can't remember how old I am.

Joel Latibeaudiere on 13:49 - Jul 2 with 1289 views | Skip_Intro | I hope not - nothing against him as a player but 80% of our fans still can't pronounce 'Reuser' correctly despite his 'Rolls Reuser' T shirt so god forbid how they would mangle 'Latibeaudiere'
