Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… 11:39 - Aug 20 with 1401 views | pointofblue | SPOILER FOR ANYONE WATCHING LATER ———————————————————————————————-The level of indifference I feel towards England going 1-0 down, other than wondering why Bronze ran down a dead end then walked back, surprises me. If this was Town I’d be fuming right now. [Post edited 20 Aug 2023 11:41]

Gotcha. The national team are currently second best in a world cup final. That's a world cup final. The pinnicle of their game and something you or I will never get close to. You're not even the slightest bit stirred to offer them even a modicom of support? [Post edited 20 Aug 2023 12:02]

It just needs some more pressure to build up, and with a slip up, it may be possible to get back in.

Support yes, I want England to win. But it surprises me how flat I feel about being 1-0 down. If they don’t turn it around, and I hope they do, then at least Town won yesterday. If Town had lost and England won, I’d still be dwelling on the Ipswich defeat.

Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… on 15:38 - Aug 20 with 1036 views | Radlett_blue | I was delighted with the Town win yesterday, but I wasn't too bothered who won today. Partly because I spend a lot of the year in Spain so have an affinity for the Spanish. If it had been England v USA, I would have been keen for England to have won, but not as keen as for a Town win.

Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… on 20:49 - Aug 20 with 934 views | lazyblue | Ipswich win was great and great day out but todays England match didn’t effect me at all so the 3 points for Town was far more important.
Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… on 21:55 - Aug 20 with 897 views | Ryorry | Feel just slightly sad England didn't win, but Spain were far better (apart from their despicable play-acting), which may well serve to up the level of womens' football both in UK and globally - which the massive media coverage will also have done - so generally not too unhappy - though I'm finding the level of nauseating congratulations for England from supposed 'top brass' frankly embarrassing. If Town had lost yesterday on the other hand, I'd have been gutted, it'd have spoilt my weekend (& possibly every day until we had a chance to put it right in our next fixture). Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… on 22:46 - Aug 20 with 865 views | Swansea_Blue | I didn’t realise there was a match today until I saw posts on here. Says it all really. I’m not fussed about the international stuff. Too much hype and baggage.

Someone asked whether people would prefer a Town or England win yesterday… on 11:28 - Aug 21 with 743 views | Vaughan8 | When I was young I used to love England and wanted them to win. As I've got older its just got a bit Meh. I want them to win, but don't really care that much. The Women I care even less, just because i'm not that into it (i don't want to start a debate on that!)

You don't listen to radio at all? It was in the news of every BBC station from Saturday evening on, and headlined the news yesterday morning onwards, even on R4!
