From the moment it was mentioned it seemed incredibly likely.
5 of the last 7 years in the Premier League. Played most of Watford's games last season in the Championship. Very experienced, so adds there. Captain, so adds that element too as well.
Northern Irish - not that McKenna is like the last few years of lazy links and research, but makes it even more likely he'd be very familiar with his game and attributes.
I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see Baggott and Edmundson go out on loan with Cathcart coming in alongside Burgess and Woolfenden, with Clarke, Ball, Donacien all considered emergency centre halves if needed. Personally, I'd be keeping Baggott if we can't find another centre half comfortable on the left.
Seems destined to me that Cathcart becomes Keogh for this season, albeit far more ability to play a key role.
Unless there's an outstanding left footed centre half out there for £1.5m with the Clarke, Davis, Broadhead profile which seems unlikely, I can see it being Cathcart.

The international market is the one area the club is clearly lagging behind in at the moment but that takes time and we want the right characters as well.

Another one gone - Jonathan Panzo, left footed CB, left for Cardiff our weekend opponents.
Whoever we sign (as we do need another CB) i hope has been one we've been working on a while and takes us by surprise.
A decent window none the less but could be a solid 8/10 if we bring in a regular CB. A lot of games to play this season and too many emergency centre halves (who could get injured playing out of position). |  | | |

I have just been trying to remember as It wasn't anything related to any of the Saturday or Sunday teams I'd played for, don't think The Beat was involved and now you've mentioned it I do remember a load of Scandinavians that didn't pass to anyone outside their own group being involved, so it must have been something like that.
