I think Joe is a bit shy in sharing stuff here, but Brighten the Corners are doing amazing things for live music in Ipswich. I've been to 2 fantastic gigs this week, Jeffrey Lewis then Friendship, and check out the link below for the list of gigs lined up for the rest of the year.

They have also converted St Stephens Church and St Matthews Baths into cracking venues.

Completely agree! And thanks for the previous tip about Brighten the Corners and the venues Dub.
I was at Jeffrey Lewis. Excellent gig and was so impressed with the venue and organisation. Have tickets for Rose City Band in Oct but will definitely see some of the other stuff they've got lined up too.
Thought St Stephens Church was perfect place to listen to live music. |  | | |

You're right, I find it difficult to shout about what we're doing.
I know lots of you are into music and it's been great to see and meet so many TWTDers in the physical world. It was great when you came up to me years ago when I was working the bar at The Smokehouse saying...'are you St Johns Blue? I'm Dubtractor'! haha.
It's been nuts this week with 5 gigs and we have The Orb, Subways & Bug Club coming up soon at the Baths. Takeshi's Cashew (who doesn't like an electric didgeridoo) and Rose City Band at St Stephens will be amazing too. It's mad to think that we put on The Murder Capital at the Manor Ballroom when they're now playing 1800 cap venues in London. Stand outs for me have also been This is The Kit, W.H. Lung (my personal favourites), Pigs X7, Anthony Szmeirek & Yard Act. We'll keep the good times coming.
See you Rose City Band, if not before.
