Davis' injury is the big negative from today, but if we're looking for another minor complaint it's that we were quite wasteful and really should have killed the game off. Against better opponents we'll need to be that bit sharper in front of goal. |  |

Listening on the radio thought Mathie was actually going to straight up call them 'sh1t' for a moment - very unimpressed with them apart from their goalkeeper who seems like was the only reason we didn't win by more.
Pretty physical, thuggish team in league one, no real patterns of play but were able to knock the door down more times than not. Need a lot more than that at this level and I don't think they're close to having it.
Glad to beat them, should have done so at least once last season. |  |

We looked very strong in defence, didn't allow them a shot on target or even a half chance. They were very poor admittedly but we gave them absolutely nothing, not a sniff. |  | | |

Not awful at the back, and nobody’s really thumped them. I think if the my get Xisco out and get Colin or the like in they could probably grind out a few points.
As an aside, seeing Chansiri’s name plastered all over the tops of the stands of such a historic stadium is a disgrace. Evans was a lot of things but at least he wasn’t an egomaniac. | | | |
