Makes me feel really uncomfortable, and reminds me of the 2014/15 season 10:32 - Sep 21 with 2765 views | textbackup | With all these fans giving it to norwich on Twitter, because 6 games in we are 2 places above and 5 points better off. It’s completely harmless I know, and likely most doing it were 8/9/10 years old back then. But in 14/15 we sat miles ahead of them, they sacked their manager, hired Alex Neil, and went on to win something like 20+ games, beat us, finished 3rd, and fcked us in the playoffs after we ended the season like a wet fart. A pain I can’t shake off.

Makes me feel really uncomfortable, and reminds me of the 2014/15 season on 10:35 - Sep 21 with 2741 views | ArnieM | Not that I can be bothered with all this social media angst between us and them, but I do kinda get it from the youngest section of Town fans right now. We’ve had nearly 20 years of their gloating , so to some it’s payback time. If ever a derby match will on a Sunday at 12noon it’ll be this one in December. There will be blood I suspect.

Don’t, just don’t… 😂 I can remember cambridge singing that about us, thinking what sort of level of fan base you’d need to be to sing that

Makes me feel really uncomfortable, and reminds me of the 2014/15 season on 10:54 - Sep 21 with 2593 views | le2blue | It is the ultimate cringe and illustrates how bad we've been so long that being slightly above them is a thing. End of the season then fair enough but not after such a short number of games. On Norwich, it is interesting to see how their summer recruitment will play out. They lost Ashley Barnes last night to a knee ligament injury, he could now miss a couple of months and with Idah their only striking option at the moment it's not looking great for them over the next run of games. Also having watched last night, not convinced by Gibbs in midfield and their centre-backs look very slow. The home game is going to be fun.

Same. It’s pretty obvious for all to see that we’re going in a very positive direction (finally) - just focus on that and everything else (including being the superior side in the region again) will come won’t it.

"Stay Humble" Plus, Norwich do actually look quite good. If they were on 0 points and getting pumped then yeh maybe. But they look like a good side this year. No Gloating from me until we beat those scummers.

Makes me feel really uncomfortable, and reminds me of the 2014/15 season on 11:47 - Sep 21 with 2357 views | ChampionsofInnsbruck | We didn't recruit amazingly well in the winter window, and we scraped Playoffs due to others losing. When we beat Charlton 3-0 at home I honestly thought we'd be going up. That was the high point, the rest was pretty average after.
Agree 100%, Beat on 11:49 - Sep 21 with 2356 views | Dyland | It annoys me even though I'm not on Twitter or Facebook etc. Hubris and premature schadenfreude, emblematic of those social media platforms and their negative impact on patience, manners and good debate.

Makes me feel really uncomfortable, and reminds me of the 2014/15 season on 11:51 - Sep 21 with 2336 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | I completely agree about giving it the bigun on social media. But our current team is nothing like '14/15. Back then we relied on 'proper blokes' and Daryl Murphy's goals. Much as I hate to admit it, I never thought we stood a chance over two legs in the play-offs. Fast forward to 2023 and I can't wait to play them. This is our time!

Had we beaten them in the first leg I think we’d have gone on to reach the final. But drawing a my home, yeah that was kind of it for me

Humble is exactly right. The season has barely started, give it 3 weeks and we could be midtable such are the demands of this league. Beyond the parachute cheats, the likes of Hull, Bristol City and Birmingham all look to have a bit of bounce and money and hope about them.

Also, if we're honest we could easily have drawn or lost some of our matches. Not taking anything away from the players, but IMO we got away with a win at Sunderland, QPR somehow didn't take the lead and credit to Ladapo but the winner against Cardiff did come off his face! As McKenna has said, the margins are going our way at the moment. [Post edited 21 Sep 2023 12:58]
