Preston on Saturday 07:38 - Oct 5 with 2628 views | GlasgowBlue | After two big defeats, I think that Ryan Lowe will try to stop the rot, shut up shop and try to get out of Portman Road with a point. I think as fans that we will have rot be incredibly patient on Saturday. I really hope all of our “flare” players are available for selection. I think it will need once moment of magic to make the difference. Thoughts?

Preston on Saturday on 07:56 - Oct 5 with 2490 views | Herbivore | I hope none of our flare players go off. They'll try to defend first and foremost I imagine, aim for a 0-0 and hope for a 1-0 on the break or from a set piece. I'd be tempted to play Taylor in this one purely because his shooting from range gives us a bit of an x factor. We usually start fast and if we manage to get an early goal I think we'll go on to win handily but we also need to be prepared to be patient and it might take time to break them down. Leicester eventually managed it and beat them easily, how much will that have taken out of them off the back of another heavy loss the game before? I am quietly confident of a win but a draw would not remotely be a disaster.

I also think we played MAs twice in three days because Taylor is coming in on Saturday.

Completely agree regarding Taylor.

Preston on Saturday on 08:05 - Oct 5 with 2427 views | SitfcB | McKenna is prepared for it. I reckon he’ll send the troops out fired up and all guns blazing to get an early goal within the first 10 minutes - and if we get that then it should hopefully be a bit more comfortable. Preston had 25% possession in the first half last night and 23% after 90mins, with 1 shot on target.

Preston on Saturday on 08:18 - Oct 5 with 2328 views | StokieBlue | They tried to shut up shop last night, as soon as Leicester got one it all fell apart. Suspect you're right that they will try the same thing here. I'm going for an early goal though which will destroy all those plans. SB
Preston on Saturday on 08:23 - Oct 5 with 2271 views | Wickets | That's what they did last night ! and it worked until they made a silly error early second half gifting Leicester a goal , the rest as they say is history . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Much like Leicester, Ipswich can punish any errors, we have that kind of goalscoring capability, from everywhere and pretty much everybody, plus the incisive speed to cut through teams before they can react.

Preston on Saturday on 10:33 - Oct 5 with 1895 views | portmanking | They tried to shut up shop against Leicester and failed. Let's face it, we had an entire season of teams trying to shut up shop last season. We're the masters of cracking a low block now, surely?!
Preston on Saturday on 10:48 - Oct 5 with 1839 views | textbackup | Honestly, I would still be seriously chuffed with 4 points from these 2 home games. So if we do draw, we knuckle back down to get a win the next game. And maintain the 2ppg

Our goal threat throughout the team is a huge plus. The following have all scored for us this season: Clarke Woolf Williams Luongo Taylor Humphreys Hutchinson Burns Harness Broadhead Chaplin Jackson Aluko Ladapo Hirst Fifteen different goalscorers in 13 games in all competitions. That's even more impressive when you consider that five of those players have scored more than once.
