As for “The Football Lads” (lol, tvvats), they’re starting do demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the English language, so credit is due there. They’ve grasped the concept of paragraphs, even if not applied quite in the right places, and their sentence structure is improving. Spelling isn’t bad, but they have got caught out with the possessive versus plural on “countries” (a tricky one!). Punctuation is still a weak point though. I’d give that maybe a 5/10. |  |

I think they were pardoned by the last Labour government.
