I'm looking forward to tonight's game 09:56 - Dec 26 with 2058 viewsDubtractor

Oddly not feeling too stressed or pressured about it, and not going in with an expectation that we'll get a win, as whilst tonight will be a huge test, it won't define our season at all.

Much like Leeds, Leicester have better players than us (as you'd expect with a budget that will dwarf ours), but we've managed to dominate home games for long spells in almost every home game this season, and it will be fascinating to see if we can manage that against a team looking likely to break any number of records for this division this season.

This is where I am with it as well. The games against Leicester and Leeds won't ultimately define our season, it'll be the other 42 games and our ability to remain consistent across those that will stand us in good stead. Individually, the quality that the three relegated sides possess is ridiculous really so in one off games against them we aren't going to be favourites. That said, we beat Saints and aside from a 10 minute spell where the defence lost its head we more than competed with Leeds at home. Saturday was a bit of an outlier but even then the first half was a bit of a weird one as there wasn't much in the game but they scored three times from three meaningful attacks. Second half is best forgotten.

Worst case scenario today is we end the day 2nd in the Championship with a 4 point gap to third place. And I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a better outcome than that come 10pm tonight. But even in the worst case scenario, that's a remarkable first half of the season from us and gives us an excellent platform to kick on.

Same. Any points at all will be fantastic. Even two defeats on the bounce and we are still ahead of Leeds.

We knew this would be a rough month or two and we're still on the right side of everything. Makes no sense at all, but happy to embrace it all as it clearly triggers the Leeds lot massively. Underneath all the bravado and usual bollvcks, they know they should be miles ahead of us and aren't.

Gotta be asking questions of Farke there.

Same with me as well, any team finishing above Leicester at the end of the season will be promoted, I am looking forward to enjoying the game regardless of the outcome. Leicester are a great club and team with good fans as well, If we can go on to emulate what they have had in the last few years it would be fantastic.

Can't understand anyone feeling stressed about tonight. It's just chapter #174931 of our brilliant season.

Drink it in.

Agree. Feel the same way. I don't feel this is going to define the next part of the season. I just hope we can play our football and show the best of ourselves from the past year.

Win, lose, or draw, I just want us to give a good account of ourselves.

We need to win tonight, Leeds will likely beat Preston today and the pressure will all be on us if we lose. Leicester are beatable but we’ve got to not let the occasion get to us like in the previous two games, if we do we’ll concede early and it will be a battle to get the game back.

My honest opinion is that if we don’t win the next two games we’ll not maintain ourselves for the rest of the season, tonight is a massive game and we need to win to stay in the races. We don’t want to lose confidence at this stage.

Dry your knickers, ffs. It's a good job our players aren't as wet as some of our 'fans'.

We don't need to win.

You do this 'must win' thing way too often, and it's just silly. There is no such thing as a must win game in December.

Heard a few mention that we should change our style slightly against the better sides?
I honestly disagree with that.... The last thing we need is to start chopping and changing..
I completely understand why KM set up the way we did at Leeds. We could easily have beat them at PR, playing that way. And why would you tell players to trust a system, only to change it, when things look tough.? It's all about trusting the process. The table says, that over a large sample size, the process works..
It really is, just another game tonight.. As much as these games are billed as "life and death".
I'm confident that we can give anyone a game at PR, if we are anywhere near our best.

I'm feeling calm about tonight and strangely confident we are going to win with a big score!
Leeds will have hurt them and they're going to come out flying, early goal, noisy full house under the lights
