The free kick from Davis was so perfectly placed, Conor had both feet on the ground when he headed the ball. Took two steps but didn't even need to jump.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I love that goal, if you focus on Chaplin, he just stands there, lets the carnage unfold around him , then just saunters to the ball and bullets it in.... just beautiful

It seemed to be that all the big guys were running around, doing the usual pushing and shoving and “trying to find space”, and he just stood there and waited. Fantastic!

Chaplin must have been watching the discovery channel. He's the ultimate stealth predator. As the commentators keep pointing out, he's been doing it for ages and teams don't seem to make any effort to stop it.

He's got at least one more headed goal like that (from a corner?) this season, hasn't he? It's a real team goal, co-ordinated blocks, perfect delivery etc. Plus all those cut back goals, which are similar in a way with the bigger, more physical players making space for him. Intelligence, planning, co-ordination, execution.

But don't tell anyone!

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

I think opponents have been trying to, which is why Chaplin's scoring rate has dropped off a bit. But they have to be absolutely at the top of their game, one slip or lapse of concentration and he's in.

A superb cross, good movement and poor defending (possibly thought they didn't need to worry about an aerial ball to someone so short). It was a decent finish but in no way special as far as headers go. It was typical of the cross, movement and finish that Chaplin has achieved from Davis at set pieces with the ball on the ground.

Not special, but exemplary technique, eye on the ball, twist of the shoulders, BANG!
