It's a central tenet of democracy that we hold politicians to account for their actions.
It's easy to forget who is responsible for what, so I thought a little checklist would help.
Along with Gove, whose focus was on the dismantling of local Government services, IDS was one of the main architects of the Austerity agenda, and his particular focus was on, to use a loathsome phrase, the "undeserving poor".
Both Gove and IDS had the competence to carry out their agenda, too, which makes them more dangerous than many on their benches.
