Yeah, think that's going to be a very tough call to make. Fridge has been excellent since coming into the side.

I would agree. Not sure how you can drop him unless he has a couple of stinkers over the next few.

The marauding runs are the clincher for me! But I think Kieran may rotate a bit. It's possible that he only rotated previously to get Fridge up to speed because he knew Cam was going to the Asian Cup, but even so, he is a bit of a 'horses for courses' guy when it comes to team selection, so I think he'll use both of them as appropriate. But yeah, just to drop Fridge wholesale would be pretty harsh.

I thought the same. But he was outpaced by Maidstone strikers on Saturday. Attacking wise Fridge offers more. [Post edited 29 Jan 2024 15:25]

We've started to keep clean sheets again since Fridge came back to partner Woolfie.

Maidstone aside he's been good though. Thought Tuanzebe had a bit of a shocker to be honest and Fridge was covering for him a fair bit. He's looked much more assured alongside Woolf, who for me has emerged lately as comfortably our best CB. I suspect we might see Burgess and Fridge rotating depending on the opponent and whose attributes are best suited.

Yes, I agree. TZ really had a bad game on Saturday. Slowed down the play too much and constantly was in the wrong spot. It was the first time i've watched him and thought that maybe he isn't actually the better option.

Sounds like you were lucky enough to not watch the Leeds game in that case.

Fridge has actually been playing more than Burgess at the Asian cup so he might need getting back up to our requirements before who's best can even be contemplated?

Outpaced, really? He had about 15 yards to catch up on both if you're talking about the goals. Also interesting that you think Burgess would be the answer to a lack of pace, mobility is not one of his many strengths.
