Oh bloomin heck, I didn't realise Joshua was fighting Ngannou tonight. The money that these boys must be making though...
Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul on 09:28 - Mar 8 with 1251 views | mutters | Mike Tyson won his first world title in his 28th fight. That fight took place only 20 months after his professional debut. 28 fights in 20 months! Were they built differently back then or is normal for fighters? Seems a lot of fighting in a short period of time

You just made me look that up, as assumed the 28 fights must have included amateur bouts, but nope he really was fighting that frequently The Oct/Nov/Dec after he first turned pro is quite something - fought on 25th Oct, then again a week later on 1 Nov, 12 days later on 13 Nov, then 9 days gap to 22 Nov and finally 2 weeks again to Dec 6. He then got a well deserved rest period and a chance to put his feet up for Xmas…well for 3 weeks at least before being back in action on 27 Dec!

When the Fury fight with Ngannou was announced Joshua called it farce. Funny that. Heavyweight boxing is probably in the worse state I've ever seen it. No credibility at all.

It would have to be a lot. I cannot stand Jake Paul and watching them dance around each other and throw about 3 soft punches is not my idea of fun.

For a lot of those fights he was knocking people out in the first one or two rounds so could probably cope with a lot more fights. He was ridiculous in those early years. SB
