Yes Dennington a fair while ago,16 years in fact.
One of those Apache helicopters used to buzz Benters church and the village green,I think he was showing off to his children as his family lived here. [Post edited 10 Jul 2024 15:40]

To be fair, if I had something that big and that powerful I would be showing it off. Not sure the Laxfield Bowls club would be my destination however. | |

I would think so, You, Bankster and I are in that little cluster of villages. I used to live in Stradbroke but am now closer to Laxfield. Thankfully we're not impacted by all the HGV traffic where I am now, so anything remotely out of the normal tweaks my ears.
I think for a while we used to get a massive multiprop aircraft fly over once a week (Thursday evenings?) I haven't seen or heard that for a while. | |

Yep, two Hercules on Thursday evenings, flying pretty much line asternI imagined they were going over to Germany with supplies from Mildenhall. Gave me a proper scare the first time they flew over my house at about 500 feet! You’re right though, haven’t seen them for a while.
