Just a shame it's not a league match really. Most pundits had them winning the league this year. Really cannot see it.

Would be a great time to try and tempt Rutter away.

In fact i'd be suprised if they don't achieve multiple promotions by march only to lose to sheff utd in the play offs

I genuinely think this big numbers sub switch is completely down to McKenna, he invented it and football people everywhere thought, "WTF, why haven't we done this before" Until we had injuries up front, McKenna actually saved arguably our best player(s) in Hutchinson and Sarmiento to come on as subs and destroy teams who were already knackered as a result of our supremer work rate and fitness. This was /is a truly fantastic tactic. What I'm getting at is that Farke looks to have copied it and I think other teams will and possibly make it the norm. Didn't work for Leeds but hey ho. Farke though, I really like the bloke. I think he's as cool as feck.

It's an excellent tactic when the players you have on the field from the start are able to consistently get you into winning positions or keep you in the game. It was almost cruel watching us deploy it in league one and to an extent last season. Some opponents were visibly fecked after a game with us. This is why we were able to churn out so many late wins. Probably be a different kettle of fish this season (gulp)

McKenna didn’t invent multiple subs. When Hutchinson became one of the best players he started. He developed that throughout the season. Sarmiento was never one of the best players.
