The linked before so maybe Nketiah The currently injured but might need a loan Ferguson. Callum Wilson. The being allowed to leave Odsonne Édouard [Post edited 25 Aug 2024 17:40]

As I said earlier in the summer. after the marvelous work of our medical team with Tuanzebe, I'm never writing off a player for injury history again.

Thats a big gamble to take on a currently injured player with a terrible injury record. It took Tuanzebe c.6 months to be fully integrated into the team. We dont have that luxury now!!

Latte Lath is just fan talk atm. Super impressive player, but not the profile of striker we would be after as a Hirst alternative surely?

It seems like really slim pickings to me, I think utilising our 2nd domestic loan on a #9 makes perfect sense but I just can’t see many likely suspects. Broja & Nketiah have been spoken about a lot, but aside from those 2 I don’t see many options.

I still want Broja assuming whatever issue it is can be resolved

Wonder if we might revisit the stansfield move now. on 22:44 - Aug 25 with 1622 views | Churchman | What about Tyreece Simpson? 22 years old, physical, did well at Swindon, ambitious in leaving a small club for a bigger one that paid better. For a reasonable fee, why not? Ok, I’m being facetious, disingenuous and daft. But underlying this is a point (somewhere). If we need somebody better than whoever we have in the stiffs to add to the forwards, would it not be better to go for a prospect rather than an established, assuming we’ve written off AAH? I haven't btw and after 11 new boys, for me that’s enough at least until Jan.

I do think we need to bring in another striker, especially with Hirst's injury, and Burns being out means there may be times we want to move Delap to the right.

I was quite surprised we were in for Broja tbh. Unless the plan is for delap to play on the right. I thought we'd be after a late 20 early 30 striker of some form. Not so much someone who would be a week in week out striker but like when we had keogh for the defence someone who could help out when needed but be a useful presence in the squad and help nurture the likes of delap and hirst.

I don’t disagree but isn’t that a Kieffer Moore? If it isn't, that tells me they’re after better. Who? Not sure if all this is good, bad, scary, fun, exhilarating or a death wish. I’ll stick with bemused, but I can’t wait for this transfer window to finish. In McKenna and the gang, we trust.
