Quite humorous that an upstart club from league one, who had been written off all season, has led to this situation.

They look absolutely miles off last seasons va va voom.

Sunderland are going well, hope they keep it up, would be nice for them to join us in the Prem.

Vital period here. Sunderland's home fans are quick to get on their players backs in adversity.

Leeds will be promoted this season, they still have good forwards and will score plenty

Shadow of the team they were last season.
That said, they’ll be up there because that looks like a very weak championship in comparison to last season.
Actually, if you took us, Leicester, Southampton and Leeds out of the equation, it was an inconsistent muddle of mediocrity last time round.

I'd quite like to see Oxford continue to do well. Would be absolutely brilliant for them to sneak into the POs and go up, especially with their new stadium plans.

Yep, they don’t have the threat, control or firepower of last season. Leeds look top six, as tbf Sunderland will be, but they’re both in a dogfight. Interesting game.

I don't understand how he misjudged it so badly.

Genuine question: was that just a bad error or affected by the knock Meslier took? He looked groggy when he took the knock and if he was, surely the medical staff should have insisted on him being subbed.

Hilarious, with added points that it happened to Farke and Leeds.

I know rivals called us lucky last season, but we didn’t have anything remotely that fortuitous.

Leeds, Leeds, are falling apartttt againnnn

I did wonder that. He was pointing to the pitch as if Mike Gatting was facing Shane Warne but I didn't see it deviate to too much extent.

Concussed is my guess although I reckon it did have some spin on it too.

I completely forgot about the knock he took, could well explain it. The spin didn't look all that bad but hard to judge from the replays.

He just stopped playing as they'd already won the match and the league.

Played down the wrong line

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Further evidence of an anti-Leeds conspiracy, innit.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Played down the wrong line

Wrong line? He was so far off it he could have been on a different pitch! The ‘Gatting ball’ at least spun (prodigiously). That didn’t.

The keeper had taken a knee to the noggin not long before and I did wonder if that affected him. But let’s face it, it was just a humiliating balls up.

I can only watch Leeds in short bursts as it hurts my ribs if I do it for too long so I hadn't seen the clout to the head.

If it affected him then that's an issue for their medical team as he shouldn't have been on the pitch. The Sunderland player's embarrassment/amazement at scoring was a joy!
