This isnt a pop at Lambert thread but what a difference 4 years make. When we played Spurs in 2020 Lambert said:
"But the players will be better for this. I’ve been to the stadium to watch a few games and it’s incredible so this will be a great experience."
Fast forward to last weekend and it's not about a day out experiencing a big boys stadium. It's going and taking 3 points under one of the best up and coming, progressive managers. We have a seat at the top table!
Lamberts next line (and no disrespect intended) probably more dramatically sums up the change:
"“I thought Toto Nsiala did well for us, Drinan did well, and there are a lot of good things happening for us at the minute."
I'm so proud of the club. Crikey Lambert got plenty wrong but I tell you one thing he got bang on. When he said if we get some momentum this place could be rocking and the town could be rocking as well. He wasn't the man for it but what a club we've got again |  |

Saying what he thought people would like to hear but not actually bothering to implement his own words.
The players probably would 'have been better for it' if he could ever be bothered to work on the tactical, coaching and motivational issues that would have been highlighted in this match.
Amazed someone is still falling for it.

I’ll take a shot at him - he was full of wind and his own self importance. Utterly clueless apart from convincing hapless owners to hand over lots of money to him. Only Hurst was worse. Possibly the boilerman, but yes the word disaster covers Celtic and Dortmund’s best ever player (in his dreams).

Who is falling for what?
Lambert wasn't the important or interesting part of my message. He just happened to be the person in charge at the time. It was about how far we've come. He would however be another extension of the how far we've come story. (Not a part of how we got there, deliberately at least). | |
