Favourite places to walk in Suffolk 16:07 - Nov 20 with 1728 views | gainsboroughblue | Got a few days off so wanting to get out in the bracing air, though weekend looks like it may be bleak. Any favourite spots of yours that I may have not tried or don't know about? Bonus points if there is a warm pub at the end of it.

Favourite places to walk in Suffolk on 16:19 - Nov 20 with 1657 views | Meadowlark | We walked from Oulton Broad to Beccles next to the River Waveney last weekend. Being careful to keep to the Suffolk side!! It's a long walk though, and a bit exposed in places though, and maybe a bit distant if you're not based in North Suffolk.
Favourite places to walk in Suffolk on 16:28 - Nov 20 with 1633 views | bluelagos | What distance are you happy walking? Did a 12 miler today from Chelmondiston down to the Stour, through to Alton Water and back with a lunch at the cafe at AW. Easy to start near Holbrook and grab a pub visit in Chelmondiston. Coastal walks are a piece of cake to/From Aldeburgh and Felixstowe to Felixstowe Ferry is nice and easy if you're not confident with maps. [Post edited 20 Nov 2024 16:28]

Anything up to around 10-12 miles is ok, especially if the terrain is fairly flat. I do have the 'Komoot' app if I go off track and need to navigate somewhere!

So I did today's walk using OS Maps (You buy the map, put the code into the APP and then you have the online map too) - dead handy for planning a route and then walking it, with the GPS showing you exactly where you are. Alltrails app will have some walks you can do too. Think Strava does too - but not used it for ages. Having a tracker is very sensible - in case you get lost - you can always retrace your steps. You can check out the ramblers website - anyone can join one of their walks (You are allowed 3 before they expect you to join) - someone else does all the planning - you just tag along. https://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking/search?longitude=1.18309&latitude=52. They have a 10 miler from Debenham tomorrow by the look of it. I'll be on the one from Mistley :-)

Favourite places to walk in Suffolk on 18:50 - Nov 20 with 1341 views | BanksterDebtSlave | How about Dingle marshes over Walberswick way. You might even get a murmuration thrown in. No idea what the pubs are like though.

Favourite places to walk in Suffolk on 22:50 - Nov 20 with 1121 views | Guthrum | Kessingland to Southwold along the beach. You could then continue on down to Dunwich, as Bankster suggests - both nice stretches of coast. For a short stroll, Moulton up the hill to Gazeley.
