Having watched the game again (in the cold light of day) it is hard to justify that we deserved anything from it. It is sickening to lose any points, never mind all three in the dying minutes but if you watch the game again we could, maybe should, have been two down before we scored ourselves.

I am no fan on Muric, in fact I was slated for dismissing him when it was just a transfer rumour. He was punished for what was his only real error yesterday, how many goals could Morsy have cost us yesterday, two or three occasions he turns into trouble and gets dispossessed in a dangerous area?

Yesterday was a worrying result, they are the kind of team we have to beat. Physical sides overpower us too easily, passing sides like the Cherries are where we are need points to come from. Call me a pessimist but I can't see us getting out of this.

You shouldn’t get downvoted for stating what is pretty much the truth.

Morsys turn has been so effective, but teams (at this level) will know it’s coming, and plan for it.

Sticking with a keeper that has a cock up in him as often as Muric does, to me, seems crazy. Think they need to put hands up and accept it’s not worked.

I don’t see where our next win comes from, probably somewhere mental like Arsenal now I’ve said that!

I said that before the Spurs game...

I actually thought Morsy was ok yesterday, better than he was vs Palace anyway. Not at his best though. Maybe could do with a rest in those 3 game weeks. Especially with Cajuste Phillips and now Taylor showing themselves capable.

As for Muric, I think I would drop him. But I was never a big believer in Walton. Tricky one.

"Sticking with a keeper that has a cock up in him"
Surely that would be likely to affect his movement in some situations?

That can happen if the goal mouth is wet and you slip.

Further to that, it was suggested "they need to put hands up"...

I'm not sure what VAR would make of that, given the amount of protection offered to keepers.

Good post. I've seen it mentioned that Bournemouth didn't cause us any danger, which is nonsense considering they hit the post first half,as well as constantly having Semenyo get away down our right and if it wasn't for excellent last ditch defending by Burgess and O'shea on numerous occasions,we could easily have conceded more than once that first half.

I sort of agree with the general way the game was going.
I felt Mckenna beat himself yesterday. He refused to do what he was so good at last season.
The game at even minute 55 was screaming for change especially in Central Midfield. Can only assume players on the bench were carrying knocks.

Give Walton a game or two. Give him the chance to show what he can do.

And when he concedes a goal, as inevitably he will, then what ? Drop him too put Slicker in?

I said yesterday keeper is last line of defence, there are 10 other players on the pitch who can influence games and we could have the worlds best keeper and we'd still be conceeding because we gave them 13 corners yesterday, we need to work on keeping the ball up the other end of the pitch, put less pressure on the defence always having to make last second interventions.

I suspect that Muric remains the best keeper at the Club, and overall ian upgrade on Hladky too. That said, and like a lot of other players, he is top notch championship/lower level PL, so is unlikely to exactly stand out this season. It seems to me they’re giving everything but are just not quite good enough.
