Motm is incredibly hard.

"Burns absolutely brilliant."

Can we frame this?

Well done, Frimmers!

Wolfie is just made for that central role in a back three.

Have we just stumbled on our new formation going forward?

Who was expecting that then? I must admit I wasn't.

What a night. I'm so please for those at FPR. These are the nights you remember for the rest of your life, even though it's 'only' a normal match week fixture.

We deserved that, and dare I say it, it's been coming but in parts. Tonight we put all he parts together and it worked.

Again, it makes me wonder what we could have achieved had we not made so many changes. All the old guard stepped up tonight and made us look more like our old selves.

But ultimately a new guy made the difference. Delap was on another level tonight. Better than that Palmer bloke.

That second half performance was textbook stuff. Barely gave up a half chance, and had a real threat on the occasional counter.

I was nearly brave enough to predict a draw but head ruled the heart and I went 0-2 to Chelsea.

I don't want to find another reason to make muric a scapegoat but the entire back 6 as it was at times looked like they trusted and understood each other at all times playing with confidence. It was definitely different

In fairness to Muric he didn’t put a foot wrong against Arsenal - albeit he didn’t have a lot to do.

Chuffed for Walton thought, got his chance and took it faultlessly.

Bhave been muric defender but it looked like the defenders trusted Walton tonight. His kicking was still poor but he looked confident on the ball

For greaves and Davis it helped

Not quite faultlessly. He did have one nightmare moment when he passed it straight to a Chelsea player, but luckily Woolfenden was alert enough to get a block in.

Otherwise he was superb.

He also spilled one that I couldn't really see but it looked dodgy! Otherwise as you say a very good night for him and witnessing a Christian Walton fist pump wasn't on my bingo card this morning.

I suspect that we haven’t seen the last of it! With the best performances coming with this formation he has to use it more often.

Splitting hairs on that though. In terms of performances there was nothing between Muric at Arsenal and Walton tonight. We felt more solid tonight, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with Walton. Possibly that was because Chelsea didn't want to use width and hit the goal line to get in behind us, whereas that was where Arsenal had the most joy.

For a non-expert like me it's not easy to compare them though. Maybe the fact we were calmer and had no dramas was down to Walton. Maybe he's a better communicator with his defense, which we'd never pick up on. Or maybe not.

Having a good backup keeper is a great position to be in whoever is 'better'.
