So after I'd say another good performance from the backline 17:12 - Jan 5 with 1124 viewsFrimleyBlue

Who drops out for godfrey.

Johnson. Oshea. Wolfenden?

Wolfy is probably the one but he's been rather solid hasn't he?

Probably but he'd be hard done by if so.

Played well over the past few games as they all have.

I imagine it will be Woolfenden. I'm not sure what's Godfrey's pace is like compared to O'Shea. That might be the decider on who plays at RCB and who plays at CB.

Almost certainly Woolfy I would think.

Godfrey - O’Shea - Greaves - Davis

Do we see him playing central defence then? I always thought he was more right-sided. Don't know a hell of a lot about him to be honest so my query is genuine.

Don’t think we’re playing 4 at the back anytime soon. last 2-3 games have shown 5-2-3 as the way forward in this league at present.

Was thinking of the oshea role. But then would oshea drop out or wolfy. Can't say there's been much difference between those two so whoever does drop out it's harsh.

Thanks. I imagine it'll be Godfrey on the right, O'Shea central and Greaves on the left then.

Depends how you look at it. At times it’s like a lopsided back 4, especially when Burns plays as he’s got the engine to get back and forward. Today less so and has been the case with Johnson who I thought was superb. Perhaps more accurate to go:

Godfrey - O’Shea - Greaves
Davis
Burns

Wolfy has been excellent.

Godfrey will be cover to start with.

Woolfenden was fine at the start of the season, but he was promptly dropped for O'Shea. I expect McKenna to bring Godfrey in so he can get used to the system in a match environment.

Completely. Godfrey is seemingly weeks from full fitness, let alone getting up to McKenna speed. No doubt there'll be an injury/suspension at some point and then Godfrey will get his shot.

It's clearly going to be Woolf. He's come back in out of necessity, so unless we need to use Godfrey at RB, it's him who is dropping out.

Woolfie has done well for me. Stepped up when required.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
