Trying to work out the plan tonight 22:59 - Jan 16 with 3610 views | textbackup | Ball to an isolated Delap with two men on him, lose it, defend. Ball to an isolated Omari, 30% chance he gets a bit of a run at the defender if he controls it, then loses it, defend. Repeat. 3 shots from distance we were limited to (I think) had a half decent spell in the first half, but felt like the Everton, West Ham, palace games. Where honestly, we really didn’t look remotely like winning.

Trying to work out the plan tonight on 23:03 - Jan 16 with 2960 views | FrimleyBlue | Think is as lovely as broady is and his footwork was great. We've got broady. Hutch. Philogene. Clarke. Chappers. I can't say there's much muscle in that front line. Excellent footwork for sure. But wheres the steel that sometimes maybe needed. I guess we kinda had it with Burns. But he's not the biggest either. Have we filled our squad with to many quick footed players rather than tall powerful runners ala delap but obv in other areas.

At the end of the day, Hurzeler's game plan was better than McKenna's.
Trying to work out the plan tonight on 23:12 - Jan 16 with 2838 views | JakeITFC | With the style we are playing atm we need to be effective on the counter - Omari and Delap are good enough to get us up the pitch on their own but both had poor nights by their standards, and it’s really hard to win on those occasions. That being said I don’t think there was much in it until the goal, and we could have got the first goal and it might have been a different story. However from 1-0 down it was a complete non-event.

Mins 25-45 we didn’t really play in a way where those two were having to find something special on their own, and we looked far better for it. Didn’t ever really feel like we were going to score at any point. But Ben they bring on Dunk. And he just laughs at any ball coming his way. The one cross I recall OH putting in the box was right on his head too. Poor showing all round. And off topic a bit, but concerning how poor Greaves looked

Scanning for the next victim I see! No AAH to chuck your vitriol at last night/today so it needs to be pointed at someone else I guess. Greaves was fine other than the mistake he made just before the first goal. Up to that point he had been solid and won almost everything that had come his way, he was hardly alone in being sloppy in the second half last night. We need to take last night as a poor team performance. No one was really on their game, especially in the second half. There's really no need to point fingers at any one player.

You alright mate? I mentioned I thought he looked poor, or is that simply not allowed these days. You must only say every player was incredible because two years ago we were in L1. Something wrong with you lot. An entire post about the plan (as in the teams plan, the managers plan, so not pointing any fingers at one person) and you’ve picked out the one small final sentence 😂 FWIW I think OH was poor too. Hope you don’t mind me thinking that

I'm fine. I just don't understand why Greaves required singling out above any of the rest of the team, especially as he had played as well as anyone until the first goal had gone in. You just seem to like to pick on our own, and also seem to revel in the resulting reaction that gets from some on here, which just irks me. More than it should? Perhaps, but what I DO know is that if you are the same person in real life as you are behind the keyboard we wouldn't be mates, that's for sure! BTW, I wholeheartedly agree with your opening post. Last night was a mess, there didn't appear to be much of a plan, or it wasn't actioned well if there was - but I just put it down to Brighton having a better squad than us and following their plan better than we did. Not because any individual player of ours was standout poor. But you be you.

I thought Greaves had a poor game last night, by his standards. He's a good defender notwithstanding the mistske for the first goal, but he was so slow on the ball and his distribution wasn't good. Sure, the Seagulls press was outstanding and it seemed tactical that we didn't spread the ball wide earlier and quicker but last night was not Greaves' night.

You base your mates on their football thoughts? That's a new one. Do you cut them off if they don't like someone you like? What if they don't like the food if you go out? Can they share those thoughts or do you banish them for it lol.

Oh god, cracks me up the reactions on here. Everything is taken so seriously so it’s easy to go on a wind up. That aside, Greaves stuck out in my head, maybe the first goal, maybe the panic I felt when he let it bounce a few times, I’m not sorry for that. However, I wasn’t feeling my best last night after watching the AAH training video during the afternoon. Hoping to be in a better space today tho

No, I base my mates on what kind of people they are. Personally, I'm just not that keen on people who spit out unneeded hate/abuse on other humans, and then seem to delight in the fact that gets reactions from others. Where did I say it had to do with anything to do with football opinion?

About a minute before they scored the first goal, Burns had a snap shot that went wide. It was a difficult chance and would have been a wonderful goal had he hit the target. If we had gone 1-0 up, I think the rest of the game would have panned out a lot differently. From that point onwards, they seemed to grow in confidence as much as we looked disjointed and bereft of ideas. It's those small margins again.

I don't disagree that overall he had a poor game but he put in some very important blocks and headers before the goal, he was far from alone in being poor overall too so I don't understand the need to single out Greaves as the poor performer but the OP has form for singling out players.

Why are you trying to twist what I've said? Are you 12? I'll say it again so you're clear, as it goes for all. If you're a nasty, hateful person in real life, as behind the keyboard then you're not someone I would like as a mate. It's pretty simple. I'm not keen on people who create vitriol and revel in it in the real world, especially those who continually turn to the banter card when they get called out on it.

he wouldn't have anything to revel in if posters like yourself didn't get emotional over a football opinion. He spoke of Greaves and a poor performance, you went on in return about how he picks on his own players. Well it is a town forum, If he picked on a brighton players poor performance, hes on the wrong forum. And saying someone has a poor game is hardly picking on him is it anyway.

Ah but do you know what your mates are up to online. They may have a completely different persona that they haven’t revealed to you. For example, Texters is a mild mannered librarian who helps little old ladies cross the street and rescues kittens when he’s not posting on here.

I only said he was scanning for his next victim, I didn't say Greaves WAS that next victim but that it was odd to single him out when most of the team were poor, carrying on twisting. For example, Texters is a mild mannered librarian who helps little old ladies cross the street and rescues kittens when he’s not posting on here. Pretty sure I already answered this one when Frimmers asked similar above. I was talking in the real world, if Texters is a similar person if I met him face to face then I'm fairly confident we would not be mates. I don't really care for what my mates do online. The trouble is people treat online interaction like it's the inside of their heads. We all have thoughts that are not always best intended or pleasant, but most of us filter that out and only allow the more pleasant stuff to actually leave our mouths, certain people on here don't do that they just blurt out whatever rubbish fills their head and then get defensive or state it was 'just banter' when they get called on it. Texters called me "mate", I was just pointing out that the feeling would not be reciprocated if he acts the same way away from his computer/phone as he does on here.
