Our Support (in the stadium and on here) is still really positive, isn't it? 21:11 - Jan 19 with 3864 viewsDubtractor

There is a few bits of silliness on here after the game, as usual, but overwhelmingly we're all still pulling in the right direction.

Easy to get a bit distracted by the few dickhead posts on here, but it really is a minority view.

I'd imagine that most team's forums would be in complete meltdown after a 6-0 home defeat!

You don't have to look far, McK and the players should be thankful they chose us. Just look at the FT scenes at St Mary's, King Power, Molineux even Goodison Park and WHL and decide for yourself.

In the stadium it was more positive today than on Thursday. We need to harness this energy to games which maybe carry more weight and importance regarding our future... like the next one, for example.

Apparently the team got a big ol roar and blue army from the north after the game. Hope someone got it on video.

Not just the north, even churchman’s stood up and roared them off! Quite a sight to behold.

Yes, similar to the Newcastle game.

It was really something, approx 2/3rds of the stand stayed behind for the players, full rendition of allez allez and then a very aggressive and defiant round of chanting blue army with fists punching the air. The whole squad stood for a long moment and applauded it, with McKenna down the front giving a double thumbs up. Very clear support that we're still in this and behind them all the way to the last kick. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

It did indeed - I'm in the North upper. It was impressively loud.

Yep.

Proudly brilliant.

Rightfully so. We’re at the top table and making a fist of it.

I'm in upper North too. Found it really moving - really loud as you say, defiant and passionate.

Players and KM stayed for a long time.

This manager and these players have given us so much. Proud to be a be a supporter and we will back them to the end.

Blue Army!

Yes so much better than Thursday. Thursday wasn't negative but it was so quiet for long spells - devoid of belief once the goal went in.

Maybe any impact we have is minimal but I hope we rise to the less glamorous occasions like we did today (and in less testing circumstances hopefully!).

It was an amazing and moving moment, massive chant of blue army, the players know for sure that we are behind them whatever the result and will be all season.

Noticeable that the team recognise the constant support given to them from A-Block, even after a heavy defeat. Was the same after the Newcastle game.

It was spine tingling to hear it from Churchmans as it rose in volume to drown out the celebrating away support. Well worth staying behind to witness.

Today sucked, obviously.

The support at the end, in my eyes, shows the team we're still with them; if we're talking about fine margins, we've got Leicester booing RVN after 6 weeks in the job yesterday, alongside Wolves fans fed up with the way their club is being run.... compared to you boys and the rest of us at the end.

How you even measure support is anyone's guess - but if it makes even 0.1% difference (which it may), then, who knows, perhaps that miniscule gain is worth a goal, a point, 3 points at the end of the season.

Honestly, we are all about fine margins, ladies and gentlemen.

I think we all know that we've had, and are still having, something very special. The potential for something even more special to happen is there. But it is made drastically less likely if we lose McKenna AND get relegated. Thus, the stakes are even higher than they would normally be. And I think that just heightens the frustration when things don't come off, or when we have a setback.

With proper respect to every other team and their fans, we are not like "plucky little Luton", whose ground everyone enjoyed having a little laugh at, and who most people were happy to see give the big boys a bloody nose, but were never likely to go on to anything great. I think other teams' fans do like us. Partly because we have a great young coach who makes no enemies and has a very level attitude. Partly because some remember our great sides under Burley and even Sir Bob. Partly because they don't perceive us as a threat. Partly because they have been impressed with some of our young players (Delap and Hutch in particular, and Davis to some extent). But they don't patronise us.

I think we therefore have this stored up sense of our potential under our great coach (not an entitlement for most of us, by any means), and it is that that can cause big negative spikes of frustration after a loss. I really don't want to call that bedwetting, or anything like that, because I don't think it is, and also because it's unnecessarily divisive to use that sort of language about other people's emotions or thoughts. Especially fellow fans.

But my view is that we do (the VAST majority of us) let that negativity dissipate quite quickly, and quite well. Brighton was disappointing. Man City was disappointing.

We go again.

And we love each other really!

Felt good to be a part of it.

Yep, that support and the fact that the players have been able to pick the pieces up even when it's felt very grim multiple times this season - after Everton, Bournemouth, Newcastle - is why we still have a chance.

We're going to have to play better than this week though.

It was great to see, I have wondered if the difficulty getting tickets has weeded out a few of the more ‘casual fans’ who historically have been on the team’s back.

That aside, I had the displeasure of listening to Chris Sh1tton on the radio on the drive home (talk about kicking a man when he’s down). But I was really proud after another presenter said there’s something ‘special about that club’ whilst praising our reaction at the end. Imagine the toxicity the players would get at Southampton, Leicester, or Wolves.

Anyway that comment really cheered me up after a punishing evening!
