A win will definitely cheer me up 13:56 - Feb 15 with 1311 viewsNeedhamChris

But it's a sad day without any of the L1 team in it isn't it? After all they're the players that gave us our club back.

It’s really not a sad day. It’s part of progression

In some ways - it shows how far we have grown in squad depth

If it’s a poor result they can’t be blamed either. They haven’t done any worse than the players we’ve brought in, and will walk away with some respect when we drop.

The result does not really matter these days, the most important things are to be able to say afterwards that we were the better team and deserved to win even if we didn't and that you can find lots of positives when you analyse the game. Points and tables are old hat, it's xg etc and analists verdicts that count.

I was there when McKenna's ITFC won in the Premier League at Home. Our only home win in a year.

Only two players in the first XI who were here last year.

Why bother saying you support the team - and then post stuff like this

I think Algy's sardonic post was lost on you.

Fair point! Nine of the first XI weren't here last season.

Not really no, not sure why so many are crying about this tbh. We are in the EPL now not L1.

No, the sad thing is Morsy and Leif injured. Those two would both be involved otherwise, so it's hardly the end of an era you're painting it as.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

People unfortunately have to get over this. We're trying to stay up 2 leagues higher in a massive gulf in class.

I think it would be easier to "get over this" if, after the changes, we weren't eleven points off 16th on a worse trajectory than Luton having just lost to a side who had picked up only five points from the other 18 teams in the division.
