He *is* one of our star players, we went in averagely for him in premier league terms. He has performed as expected for a decent young player with potential in his first premier league season.
Your post shows exactly what we're up against, Hutchinson, or similar at £15million or so, will just about make the bench for a lower half premier league side. Wolves, out rivals for relegation spent the thick end of £40 million on Cunha. A quick Google shows they've spent £15million plus over *20* times.

How true. He did a lot of good things today including scoring a cracking goal to get us back in the game. He’s already a premier league quality player and will only get better. He’s learning. I do think he’s better on the right, but who the hell am I to question McKenna’s judgement? |  | | |

He had a pretty good game today, but is not consistent PL quality. He may well be in the not too distant future, but he isn't yet, and I can't see anyone coming in for him in the summer if we go down, other than prehaps a promoted side. [Post edited 23 Feb 0:07]
