It’s actually not as good as the Black Shore place in Walberswick - unfortunately I don’t think I’ve had fish n chips in Lowey for 30 years, thus my comment on this thread is even more pointless than usual. |  |

Yasmins performing at the theatre, and asked if we could have proper seaside chips afterwards… I’ve not seen anywhere looking likely yet, and I’m supposed to find somewhere and check closing times whilst she’s there… but found myself in a pub atm… | |

Was always a strong favourite when we holidayed in Pakefield in the 1990s, and I still stop by these days if I'm over in Lowestoft around lunchtime. | |

The Dolphin has a small restaurant attached and you get loads of chips.
The Atlantic you would have walked past on your way down the High Street, but I cant personally vouch for it, although I have heard good things.

There's a good pub that does pizzas a few streets back from the front, voted best pub by CAMRA many years in a row (get the impression not much competition), though the owner is a Norwich fan alas |  | | |
