It's almost better he goes. Greaves will be first choice, imagine if he spends most of the season on the bench with us when he could be playing at the Bernabeu, Nou Camp etc, assuming he would get good game time for them obviously.
His game time didn't reflect his worth to the team last season. We prioritised giving Greaves experience and blooding him to become first choice LCB, but I like to think everyone hugely appreciated what Burgess offered. |  |

They certainly were but Corberán has really turned them round since joining from WBA. A team definitely on the up again, which can't be said of Girona, the earlier Spanish rumour.
Corberán will be very familiar with Burgess, and as much as he is a very solid defender it seems an odd fit. |  | | |
