The purple GK kit is nice, but my gripe with the Umbro stuff in particular is that the GK shirts seem to be the same template across most of their stable. At least (so far...) the outfield shirts are uniquely Ipswich.

Why aren't the new 'keeper strips on sale (yet)?

As I've said on another thread, probably as a means to get the maximum monetisation from the exercise. If you just offer the home and away shirts first off, the 'must have the kit as soon as it's released' crowd get a smaller choice, and then might also pick up a GK kit at a later date.

Realistically, what percentage of fans buy GK kits? It can't be that high - as evidenced by the fact that Nike initially didn't even bother releasing the Mary Earps shirt when England were winning trophies. I don't see that many people wearing them, so it probably doesn't make much sense to spend a load of time/money designing custom GK kits for every club. I have to say though, as a colourblind bloke, that GK kit isn't particularly easy to distinguish from the home or away shirts in a crowded penalty box | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Would like to see McKenna in a three-piece suit and a fedora, too.

I like the shin-pads, - I wonder if they were actually about to play or just got kitted up properly for the photo.
