Has escaped Sheff Weds. Good returns in the Championship, maybe not one for us but fair play to him.

Maybe I missed something, but I thought they were on the brink of being sold weeks ago.

Not sure if it was a joke or not but apparently one of their main stands has been closed by the council

More to follow I'd guess. Apparently Rohl is now set to be relived of his duties after all, in part because the players didn't like the way he tried to get out of the club. Ironic since half the squad also doing the same.

Rumours that Barry, so young, so handsome best player in the championship, all round nice guy, wand of a right foot Bannan had said you don't pay me until you've paid everyone else are completely untrue.

In fairness to him he is at training and atm the it looks like he will stay so credit where its due.

Utter bin fire. Makes Marcus Evans look absolutely dreamy.

Whilst I have a dislike of SW, mostly due to how their fans were during the promotion year from L1, they do not deserve this. Proper football club once upon a time.

The local rag here in South Yorkshire have them virtually doomed

Everything has fallen through

Rohl has now returned back to work and the players are kicking off about him turning up late

Kicking off to their chairman , who hasn’t paid them

Proper mess innit

Off-topic I know but the last time I was at Hillsbrough I got chatting with one of the stewards. Apparently their North Stand was the first cantilever stand to be built in the country which spanned the entire length of a pitch. The original idea (back in the 60s) was to have a bowl shaped stadium in the same style as that stand - the first soulless bowl for a club side in the country.

But they ran out of money.

Same with Chelsea twenty years later - their triple decker stand was to be copied bowl style all around their stadium. But they too ran out of money.

Found it quite fascinating.

"Hillsborough has a capacity of 34,835"

For some reason I thought it was a lot more than that....

Yeah strange really when you see it but perhaps maybe it always seemed bigger due to semi finals etc being held there when it was all standing
