Same against 'boro. Score the penalty and we go in 1-0 up at half time. Instead we miss and they get a lift and go and score

Teams know how to play us. We are so damned predictable in every way. Charlton knew getting to half time level was half the job done and also we are always a mini brain fart away from conceding. Never be fooled by the possession stats as teams are happy for us to have the ball and do the same things over and over. |  |

Yeah, it’s an obvious recurring issue. Tonight was as bad as I’ve seen it. Cajuste and Nunez both wanted to join the attack. That’s where a player like Downes could have been really helpful for us; someone prepared to sit and actually shield the defence. Matusiwa is a bit more of that but he still gets caught up the pitch.
Not that the lack of goal threat isn’t a problem. Akpom and McAteer should have seen us 2-0 up at half time. But didn’t. And then we were lucky to go in 0-0 after they somehow scooped one over the bar from 6 yards out. Do it isn’t just about that. |  |

Well I was at Middlesbrough on Friday and watched tonight’s game on the TV. We didn’t have any issues with the counter attack in the first half. We need to put teams to bed.
The longer the games go on the more the opposition grow in confidence and start attacking us. | |
