6 year contract for Rosenior!! 11:43 - Jan 6 with 1614 viewsUSA

I am struggling to understand why Chelsea are offering him such a long contract given their history of not really giving managers much of a chance. Would imagine, unless there are some serious clauses, that Rosenior walks away with most of that contract paid out when the inevitable happens! Fair play to him

I hope he succeeds and sees out the contract as he comes across very well. If it doesn't, would love him to end up here when the inevitable happens with our current Messiah!

To help with the amortisation of any compensation that they've paid to ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶s̶e̶l̶v̶e̶s̶ Strasbourg?

I'm sure there are countless break clauses based on position and trophies etc.

He'll do well to make it to the end of the season. Totally agree.

I think Maresca did a decent job (bar the last few weeks) in a role where he had no support, no decision on transfers, was told to rotate the squad every game etc etc.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

The one true innovation that Paul Lambert brought to the game - senselessly long contracts for managers who have no chance of working out the length of those contracts.

I’m sorry but our very own Kieran McKenna is better. Chelsea have taken the cheap option and hired within and not gone and bought the rolls Royce equilvant.

Good luck Roaenior I’ve always liked him and thouhht he could have been a KM replacements if the time ever came.

As an aside, I imagine Delap is pleased to see Rosenior appointed as he’s played under him before so might get more starts/minutes.
