Is anyone else still having flashbacks about the last 10 mins of the Soton game? If so, which moment are you replaying in your head?

Furlong's header, Jack's effort off the post, Hirst's disallowed goal or Jack's strike that brought a worldie save from their keeper.

I know I should let it go as I'd have taken our current position after the Boro match, but I can't stop replaying that fingertip save in my head.

I was a really sanguine on the way home Tuesday but spent Wednesday going "But, we were so close".

Mainly all four of them, but it also crossed my mind that Kipre holding his run on Saturday would have had us promoted by now. And that was closer than Neil's run to being on (whilst clearly offside).

It's gone now though and it's all about what we do tomorrow now,

Furlong header I was waiting for the net to bulge. Looked like it was in all the way.

For me it's the world class save from JC, that was destined for the top corner

Totally agree, keeper was miles away. All Furlong needed to was get that on target.

Yes. Although trying to balance that by reasoning that the most likely sliding doors moment of the season will prove to have been Ivanovic thrashing it against the bar at the end of the Millwall game.

That and Norwich's winner at The Den.

I'd had a few beers so my memory was hazy, but that Furlong header felt like it was about 11 seconds after Clarke's goal.

I just hope we pick up where we left off from the southampton match against QPR. Play like that for 30 minutes, go 3-0 up and we can relax

I don’t remember an away end and town team performance that has stuck… on 16:28 - May 1 with 707 viewsunstableblue

… in my mind in this way.

The atmosphere and the end to end nature of that second half was just incredible.

That away end matches Barnsley.

Hull and Coventry two years ago were similar, Spurs too I think.

But these are special days and to be enjoyed,.

Exactly this. We need to absolutely go for broke in the first half hour, go 2 or 3 up and then can relax. Don’t really want to see us so ponderous the first half, won’t help if the scores from Millwall and Boro games filter through if they’re ahead.
Ideally put the game out of reach by the first half, then can think about the pitch invasion at the final whistle

There was also the McAteer shot on the turn.

Post. But in my version it bounces back onto the keeper and then trickles over the line just inside the post, all in slow motion with looks of desperation on the S’ton defenders’ faces. And then there are limbs everywhere and Chappers does a Forest Gump from Portsmouth join join in the celebrations.

Too early of course to think of such things, but if all goes well potentially a lot of online mileage to be had from their win there.

I jumped off the sofa to start celebrating, so certain was I that it was going in.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
