The smart Hull fans might sneak away now.

| Bye bye Millwall (n/t) on 21:48 - May 11 with 3359 views | RetroBlue | How many times does this happen. Millwall were 10 points ahead of Hull in the league...10 points! I remember WHU doing exactly the same thing to us... grabbed 6th slot with the last kick of the league game and then beat us ( we were 3rd and 17pts ahead of them ), on the PO's..... I think Forrest cocked up a simple ball into the box in the first few mins ...that was it we were done. | |

I wouldn't be surprised if Millwall were in a relegation fight next season. Lose a few of their better players to bigger Championship clubs and they could be struggling.

Outstanding is a stretch. Hull were average against a poor Millwall. Truly dreadful couple of games.

They'll come unstuck with that attitude. Hull are no mugs. Play to their strengths very well. As for Millwall, that was a costly draw at Leicester wasn't it. At least they can look forward to a match up with the 'ammers next year.

Hull have beaten Saints home and away this season, and beaten Boro away.... won't be an easy game for either, and I can see a Hull tactical masterclass, they have a very good coach.

Problem is this is why the play offs are so wrong and dare I say it unfair. Hull just scrapped into 6th place on the last day of the season and we're 10 points behind a near automatic winning side, Millwall. Yet over these two farcical games they've won their way to 90 mins from the PL. It really is a joke and next season will be an even bigger joke when teams finishing nearly half way down the table could " win" promotion.

You’re right in that next season will be farcical given the probable points gap between 3rd and 8th, when the 8th placed club could actually get promoted.

Maybe, but everyone knows the rules at the start of the season. I daresay that if we had found ourselves in Millwall's position tonight I would be incandescent with the injustice of it but it would only have been our own fault for not making sure if finishing second.
