With the squad we've got, I'd be surprised if there's a future here for him at ITFC, even if we get relegated.
Unless the additional year is on reduced terms, the club will just be in the same position in Summer 2027, where nobody wants to or can afford to buy him, because his personal terms are too prohibitive. | |

Just protecting an asset.
GON has really liked him and as he said been surprised by how much quality he has. If we were tombe relegated he'd likely have a good shot at a squad place.
If we don't then we can assess him again and potentially sell forms higher fee if he has another good season.
Reality is if it works for him and us then all good. The fact he loves the club means he is doing more of these loans. I think the club probably also recognise he does have the ability but may be a 'late bloomer' in terms of his physicality catching up as he gets older. He has always been smaller. He's definitely got physically stronger and he's been improving year on year.
Just about still young enough to keep him on this basis but he will need to move if it goes on another year. For his own career. | |

If we go down we likely lose Palacios and maybe 1-2 other CMs. Humphreys quite close to being a useful choice in CM in the Championship. He really needs to take league one by storm though now. |  | | |

His personal terms are unlikely to be that high … but I don’t think it is his interests to stay contracted to us and loaned to a league one club.
Surely he’d be better off doing what Baggott did and starting his career properly with someone else. |  | | |

If Humphreys has another solid season in League 1, that isn't going to make him a particularly valuable asset. I think it would be better for him if he did a permanent move rather than endlessly thinking he's going to have a future at Town. |  |

If he is that good, then why has he only ended up with a L1 loan?
Removing the lad's history from the equation, how would we feel if we get relegated next summer and repalced, say, Palacios with a 22-year-old who's had a decent season in L1? | |
