They were in even worse form 2 seasons ago when they slapped us 6-0

A little harsh on Forest. They made City look poor and have been building up to this over the last few weeks.

Arguably, we were the beginning of that. A newly-promoted side nearly getting something from ManC at the Etihad (it was their fans calling for the final whistle during added time, we were still attacking).

Surely human nature kicks in with what's hanging over the club? They must wonder if there's really any point?

Could it be the pressure of not knowing if they may soon be looking for a new club is getting to the players. They really haven’t got over hanging on for three points against Ipswich

Given that we ran them close, the more obvious explanation is that they weren’t great when we played them either and they’ve faced tougher games since. Not to talk us down, but Forest have been playing well despite their league position, Brighton have been flying and Villa are still a decent side even if they’ve dropped off from last year.

Agree with this. Forest are way better than their league position. We made city look good in the first half. Second half we were better than them and could easily have drawn it. The other side of it is we are one of the poorest teams in the kesgue. We have sneaked a couple to wins in games that could have gone either way and drawn games where we have not been the best team.

Maybe the harsh reality of the clubs predicament is now starting to filter down into the current players, who may rightly be wondering about their potential futures?
