Town Chasing Tranmere Left-Back
Town Chasing Tranmere Left-Back
Tuesday, 10th May 2011 20:44

Town are amongst a number of Championship sides interested in signing 21-year-old Tranmere left-back Aaron Cresswell.

The Liverpool-born player has made 71 starts and nine sub appearances for Rovers, scoring six goals, having come through the youth system at Prenton Park.

Cresswell, who is 5ft 7in tall, is out of contract at the end of the season but due to his age and having been offered a new deal at Prenton Park, the League One side would be entitled to compensation when he moves on.

A set piece specialist,tough-tackling Cresswell likes to get forward and played on the left of midfield when progressing through the ranks at Tranmere.

Delaney's not a left back, Kennedy is 35 with a constant Hamstring injury. I think O'connor will go out on loan if this lad comes in.

Never heard of him but sounds like he could be a decent player. But I dont think we need another left-back, we need to bring in two or three strikers and get rid of scotland and/or priskin.
