Ward and Henderson Turn Down Town Move
Ward and Henderson Turn Down Town Move
Tuesday, 31st Jan 2012 19:01

TWTD understands that Portsmouth duo Joel Ward and Stephen Henderson have turned down the chance to join the Blues, the clubs having agreed a joint fee earlier this evening.

The pair, part of a triple bid which has been ongoing for several days along with Jason Pearce, are believed to have turned down Town’s contract offer.

Henderson announced his intention to stay at Portsmouth earlier in the evening via Twitter.

Whether the Blues will continue to negotiate until the 11pm deadline remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, former Blues loanee Keith Andrews is reported to be in talks with West Brom.

Surley town would have an idea if these players were intrested in joining town,
You dont spend 2 full weeks getting an offer accepted and then see if they want to play for the club.

If this is the case its the whole of the transfer window wasted

Hope we get hammered tonight as we deserve to be in league 1

If it wasnt so tragic it would be funny.

Are we saying that we didnt have a hint from the agents about their willingness to move? Or lack of?

how come Portsmouth have become a more attractive proposition than ITFC?

Mind you in a couple of weeks time there won't be a Portsmouth and these two won't have anywhere to play, not that I'll care!!!

Personally I hope we get tanked tonight by West Ham , Jewell is sacked in the morning and Clegg and Evans are done for Fraud and the club goes out of business then i don't have to try and be interested in another month of wasted transfer windows.

Two second rate Scottish players turn us down, and now these two muppets, would rather stay with a club who cannot guarantee their wages. What does that really say about us at the moment??

WE ARE A JOKE!!!!!

The fact that 2 scottish div 1 players chose a league club ahead of us, then these 2 turn us down for a club going out of business. Have heard rumours of huddlestone in the area? Any news?

League 1 here we come, thanks for that clegg and jewell. I preferred it when we had no cash, at least the players wanted to play for the club and were proud to wear the shirt.

How are we getting minute by minute updates on this Phil!? You sat with Clegg, Evans, ward, Henderson and co around the negotiating table!?

Could we not have ascertained if these two twerps actually wanted to come before we spent the last two weeks negotiating with their club? !! Hope Portsmouth go bust and sack all their players immediately. How on earth can any business continue with administrators running the place, a winding up order over them and HMRC demanding £1.6Mn that they clearly have not got. Oh, this is the fairy land of football

if it is true, then why spend all this time agreeing a fee, if they knew full well they were not wanting to move, as i guess all the players would have told Pompey i am not going weeks ago.

Just seems strange
