Foderingham Claims Dismissed
Thursday, 16th Jan 2014 15:03

Claims that the Blues are targeting Swindon Town keeper Wes Foderingham have reportedly been dismissed by sources close to the 23-year-old former England U19 international.

Rumours that Town are looking to line-up a move for the Londoner — perhaps a swap which would see Blues second-choice Scott Loach move in the opposite direction — have been circulating for the last couple of days.

However, the Swindon Advertiser says that “sources close to the player” have dismissed the story.

Foderingham, who started his career with Fulham and has also spent time with Crystal Palace, is understood to have been watched by a number of Championship clubs this season, including AFC Bournemouth.

I'd like to sign Luongo from Swindon. Just the type of player we need.

We had Luongo. He was too skillful to get in our team! He tried to keep the ball!

Another Craig Forrest - Big in stature, good shot stopper, but rubbish under pressure.

Sindre94 and OldClactonBlue, when we had him, he was, slow, poor on the ball, a weak link in the team and frankly a waste of money. I may have heard he is doing a little better in league one for Swindon, but that is his level.

Go for Shay Given, before 'Boro get him for good.

Robbie, why would you single him out for being poor on the ball?

Why cant we sign this guy on loan he ripped us to shreds last season and many other sides too whilst playing for watford. In the middle of the park this is who we need .19-year-old Chalobah, who impressed hugely during a stint with Watford last season and played a starring role in helping them to the play-offs, now looks like linking up with Boro as they look to mount their own promotion bid. He is better than what we have , offers a central attacking dimension and so on. The fact our midfield is the least productive in the league of all sides suggests it need to be changed. This lad would be a great acquisition.

This story seems highly unlikely as MM is after defenders not a goalie and town have sweet fa to spend on transfer fees and i doubt they would swap him for loach!

OldClactonBlue, when I saw him, he hit everything off, and couldn't pass for biscuits, a lot worse than what we had at the time, or have now.

I always thought Luongo was alright. Remember he played in an awful team which really struggled.

Really think he is better than Skuse? Tunnicliffe? Hyam? Taylor? Hunt? Or McGoldrick playing in midfield?

The way things are going and what appears to have been said by MM, I would be surprised if we sign anyone during this window. We need only two, a r/back and an attacking midfielder; but I doubt very much we get either. I would like to see some sort of annoucement soon, how long does it take...do you want to play for us? and we'll pay this...are you interested? SIMPLES.

Seem to be going back to bad old days of PJ and Cleggy,we are not going to make playoffs unless Mr Evans shows a bit more faith in his Manager as he did with previous two.
It is ironic that now we have a manager that seems to know what he is doing but he is not allowed to sign anybody whilst rivals are.

When will you all realise Evans is not putting any more money into the club. Quite the reverse as if a decent offer comes in for any of the squad they will be off. The man who only bought the club to, as he thought, enhance his business interests and whose knowledge of football could be written on the back of a postage stamp has lost interest. The sooner he comes clean says he wants out the better. As for the financial fair play excuse, just look at Huddesfield this week, they have a owner who cares about the club and made to great signings. (Wells and Lolly)

Couldn't we offload "scott loach says"on someone? He has been talking bull all week to the media etc and goes out and gets stuffed yet again when he had his chance to shine, use Crowe for the rest of the season and send loach out to non or lower leagues,I know hes a Town but lets be honest hes a numpty and isn't up to standard of this or league 1 hes proven it

Kerryblue, im afraid your talking nonsense. Loach is more than capable at this level, regardless of whether he a town fan or not. You dont play as many games as he has in the championship at his age, be an england under 21 international or have spurs willing to pay 4 million for you of your a "numpty" you prob think luke hyam is amazing jus coz he's "one of our own"
-2

kerryblue added 00:51 - Jan 17
If Spurs would pay us 400 grand for that numpty id not only drive him there but make sure he settles in just in case he ever came back.PS what are you drinking /smoking it must be strong stuff, the last time loach was ever mentioned in the same sentence as 4 million was when chopra was convincing him to go into stan james with one of his sure thing dockets, and we all know what happened next

kerryblue added 00:56 - Jan 17
Check the stats and in 8 years at this level Loach hasn't played a lot so back up your claim or go shave your legs mate, mainly Watfords number 2 and was ours also CHEERIO

Kerryblue dont think there's any need to be quite so abusive. I'm also a town fan same as you are, just that we share different opinions and your frankly personal abuse of loach is disgusting. Ok he could command his area better but he is a good shot stopper and his distribution and in particular his kicking is better than gerken. I agree sentiment shouldn't come into it regarding him being a town fan. Just the same as Hyam being a local boy, coz lets be honest he's not up to it either. But u prob think he a world beater
