Burnley Latest Club Linked With Mings
Sunday, 9th Nov 2014 14:33

Burnley are the latest Premier League club to be linked with Blues left-back Tyrone Mings.

According to The Sun on Sunday, Clarets boss Sean Dyche has sent his chief scout to watch the 21-year-old on two occasions in recent weeks and is considering making a January bid.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton have previously been mentioned in connection with Mings and Premier League scouts were again out in force at Portman Road yesterday.

In the summer, the Blues turned down an offer in excess of £3 million for ex-Chippenham Town man Mings, who subsequently signed a new Town contract which runs to June 2017.

He won't go there just to get relegated.

Bring on the next rumour!

Will not happen but thanks for the interest!

How about a look at Eoin Doyle from Chesterfield to bolster our attack?

Mings performances have slipped since all the speculation that scouts are watching from prem clubs. Be good to see him as he is part of a successful team , however 6 million plus and im a yes ,providing we van buy in 3 or 4 players who will help push us along for 2nd half of season.

He has a much greater chance of Prem football by staying here. And Burnley. BURNLEY. Makes Liverpool look like Woodbridge.

I think that come next transfer window, if we are still in the same position as today we should hopefully not accept any bids for any of our players if the owner wants to give us the best chance in many years, unless they offer silly money and time for us to ge a replacement. I will keep my fingers crossed we have all the same players and if lucky a couple of additions for ourselves come January.

Hahaha Why would he go there? We have more chance if being Premier League next season than them. They couldn't afford him even if they wanted him!

Bluefeast am not sure what games you've been watching this season mings has been immense, I can only see the speculation as had the opposite affect!

Mings had remained consistent and is improving the defensive and tackling side to his game. Great!

Burnley are ambitious so fair play to them but I cant see Ty going there if anywhere in January. If we are still top 6 by end of January then no way will the club sell unless silly money is offered. Our final position at the end of the season will determine Tys future.

I'm not knocking the amazing work that has happened at Burnley but I have a gut feeling if they do go down (which seems the general consensus) they will fall hard and possibly be at the wrong end of the table next season. Life is good at town and and hopefully minds will see patience is a virtue but he couldn't be at a better club for his own development right now

I don't think so. Surely if he moved on, he'd want to go to the PL, and for more than 5 months? Hope we keep him, but he won't be going to Burnley!

Just to repeat what I've said before:£10m plus an 18 month loan back arrangement. Otherwise don't even bother to send your scouts. That puts him in the Arsenal/Chelsea/Manchester bracket. If this boy is looked after, he is going to be one of the great England left-backs that are so rare.

Even Brentford, Port Vale and Altrincham are linked with Tyrone Mings.

His career would be much better if he stays here keeps learning - this is his first season as a first team regular!!
Hopefully we could be in premier league next season (and Burnley won't) so he'll go into the premier league with 20 more games under his belt in familiar surroundings with players and a manager who know all his strengths and weaknesses

Don't kid yourselves. Burnley are in the Premiership, we're not. They'll then get their parachute payments and be far better placed to offer far more money than us.

If they get relegated, he'll still be playing regular Championship football with more money and half a season of Premiership experience.

Sorry, but I wouldn't blame him for going, but would like to think he'll give us this season, we're in with a great shot if we maintain our form.

We need to be adding to the playing staff in Jan not letting the crown jewels go. Mick and Evans will surely hold their nerve if we are even close to play offs.
