Dozzell and Morris Win Caps But England U17s Exit Euros Sunday, 15th May 2016 14:56 Andre Dozzell started and Ben Morris came off the bench as England’s U17s exited the European Championships after losing 1-0 to Spain at the quarter-final stage in Baku, Azerbaijan. Dozzell played the full 80 minutes and won his 16th U17s cap, while Morris came on as a 65th minute sub to pick up his 10th. Having gone behind to Francisco GarcÃa’s 11th minute goal the Young Lions had chances to get back on terms, particularly after the break. Sheffield Wednesday’s George Hirst saw the best of the opportunities blocked by the keeper, while a defender just got in a toe to deny Morris as he looked to turn home a low cross from the right from close range.
Town keeper Nick Hayes, who has previously been capped three times, was again an unused sub. England U17s: Thompson, Sterling, Feeney, Chalobah (c), Sessegnon, McGuane, Adeniran (Shashoua 68), Nelson (Bohui 65), Mount, Dozzell, Hirst (Morris 65). Unused: Hayes, Brown, Francis, T Bola.
