Cardiff Target Blues U18s Coach Dyer
Monday, 20th May 2019 13:48
Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock is keen to add Blues U18s assistant manager Kieron Dyer to his coaching staff, TWTD understands.
Dyer, 40, played for Warnock at QPR, while his former Newcastle United team-mate and close friend Craig Bellamy is the Bluebirds’ U18s coach.
The 33-times-capped England international is currently assistant manager of Town’s U18s working alongside Adem Atay, their side having reached the Professional Development League Two play-offs this season after finishing second in their division, coincidentally behind Cardiff.
We understand Warnock, whose team will be back in the Championship next season after one year in the Premier League, has made an approach to Town for Dyer, who he previously targeted in the summer of 2017, with a view to him working with his club's U23s.
Ipswich-born Dyer, who previously worked with the Blues’ U16s and was involved with the England U20s set-up earlier this season, is well settled in Suffolk and it appears unlikely that he would make a move to South Wales, however, the former midfielder’s progress as a coach may also have caught the eye of other clubs.

Where Might This Lead? by Moggasknockdown
As we draw stumps on the darkest season in the club’s recent history, it is hard not to reflect on Paul Lambert's efforts to revive our listing club with at least a degree of optimism for the future.
Fanstastic by LegendRay
There was quite a groundswell of opinion that no annual awards should have been given after a season like that. Except perhaps for one award that doesn’t have a category… the award for the supporters!

My grandma claimed to know nothing about football. "Oh, I'll leave you men to talk about the football", she'd say, but she knew alright. She knew exactly what was going on with the Town.
