My head says play offs but my optimistic heart says we storm the league with Norwood. Last season I said a narrow escape from relegation.

If we can sort the defence then we can be up there. I am going to have to say play offs with a strong second half.

The optimism built in the summer was only because we're in a league where we should win more than we lose. However, the way we're run so badly off the field is what will be our stumbling block for as long as Evans is here. We'll probably finish top 12 but not sure where.

In each of the last two seasons, the teams gaining automatic promotion from league one have all scored 80 or more goals. They have also had a goal differential of 40 or better. I can't see Town achieving either of these benchmarks. Based on that, I'm hoping for promotion via the playoffs. I think anything less than a top six finish would be a failure.

Top 10 at worse.

I think we should stay up, particularly with two clubs getting hefty points deductions.

We'll be OK.

If you'd asked me this a week ago I would have said the following: I honestly cannot choose between three scenarios: 1) a dream season in which all the youngsters click, and we ride a wave of home-grown enthusiasm to promotion and a new dawn for ITF; 2) a dreary slog into mid-table; 3) the wheels completely fall off and we go down again. Now, with the transfer market issues and the latest slew of injuries, I am pretty convinced that #1 is an absolute fantasy. Until this morning it was looking more and more like #2. But with PL's flounce this morning, I am getting mentally prepared for #3. I am optimistic for Woolfenden, Kenlock, Emmanuel, Downes, and Dozzell; I think there are good things to be had from Nsiala, Rowe, and Jackson. If Huws, Judge, and Bishop can just stay healthy... And if Norwood can be as good as we yearn for him to be. An awful, awful lot of ifs and buts. COYB.

My prediction is Sunderland and Portsmouth automatic. Town play-offs, 50% chance of promotion.

Finish 17th and without Paul Lambert .

I just pray that we have enough to stay up in League One... but with Evans at the rudder, we could possibly sink through the League Two trapdoor due to his penny pinching, asset stripping, investment free financial policy.

Evans is not the Messiah... he's a very naughty boy!

The reality of the situation demands that this team hits the ground running, if anything is learned from last season that a slow start can knock confidence, having Norwood's presence up front could be the boost we have needed. If this team can amass a good amount of goals from all positions we might have a chance for the top six.

First time in L1 for 62 years, well so long as we have hardly any Injuries and other players come back fit and we Beat Sunderland at home i can see us possibly winning or coming runners up.

I will continue to go to games so Long as the will and temerament for a win are still there. The terraces are doing their bit, and NO I dont think Sunderland and Portsmouth will go up. WE are in with a great Chance to do something worthwhile so lets believe it and get behind our Team so that they feel what we want. As Gary Lineker Always said Football is a game with 22 Players and a round Thing and the Tractor Boys Always WIN!
