Villa Game Live on Sky
Friday, 5th Jul 2024 18:08

Town’s home game against Aston Villa has moved to 2pm on Sunday 29th September for live coverage by Sky Sports.

The match was originally set to be played the previous day. Sky announced the games they will be showing live from the first six rounds of matches today, meaning no other match prior to Villa’s visit is set to move.

However, the Villans’ visit could still face a further move back to the Saturday, albeit with an 8pm start, if Villa are scheduled to play in the Champions League the following Tuesday.

Town’s opening game against Liverpool at Portman Road is also being screened live on TV, on TNT Sports on Saturday 17th August, kick-off 12.30pm.

Could move back to the Saturday as an 8pm KO if Villa have a Tuesday night Champions League game afterwards.

Phil - Is it possible it could move to the Saturday 5.30 slot? i.e swap with Wolves vs Liverpool match? (depending on champions league schedule)

Welcome to the Premier League. Do the hokie cokie with fixtures. I feel sorry for those with lives beyond football at weekends

8pm on a Saturday. Doesn’t come much worse than that!

If we can pick up three points, I don't think anyone will worry what time the kick off is.

Will that mean the other games will be able to be shown on towntv live for those of us in the wilderness?

We have to fend for ourselves, Kiwiblue. Here in the Czech Republic, I have to sign up to Canal+ Sport, which actually works out cheaper than TownTV, so there's that...

How to kill football by Sky tv etc etc....

About time all these nonsense tv times were given a serious look at...i'm old school i'm afraid & think that as many matches as possible to stick to 3pm on Saturdays / 7.45pm on a Tuesday.

They (the premier league,Sky,efl etc etc) should be permitted to move no more than 3 games a week..let's face it,we've got football coming out of our ears these days, seems to be a game on the telly on a permanent basis..time was you'd look forward to the Sunday 4pm match & the Monday night 8pm game, now there's so much on that you end up getting sick of it and end up skipping through it all without taking much notice.

Complete overkill.

Is it still possible to watch every Ipswich game live next season? On TV before anyone says "yes, go to all the games". I live in Germany now, so was kind of relying on towntv to watch every game
