Season Tickets Up 10 Per Cent Thursday, 24th Apr 2025 12:00 Town have announced that season ticket prices will increase by 10 per cent for the 2025/26 campaign but with the cost of an under-12s seat frozen.
An adult ticket in the lower tier of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand, Sir Alf Ramsey Stand or Cobbold Stand will cost £419 as opposed to £381 this year, while an upper tier ticket will be £551 compared with £501 currently.
With the Blues set to return to the Championship, season tickets will cover 23 games as opposed to 19 in the Premier League.
The renewal window opens at midday on Wednesday 30th April before closing on Friday 30th May at 5pm.
Season ticket numbers are currently at around 21,000 with that figure the upper limit and seats are only available to existing holders as it stands. Should that change, the club will announce further windows and prices, while details regarding the introduction of a waiting list will be made available in due course.
Chairman and CEO Mark Ashton said: “The incredible support [manager] Kieran [McKenna] and his team have been given over the last few years has been clear for all to see and is something which has been noted by opposition clubs both home and away during the course of this season.
“We will attack the 2025/26 season as one, as we always have, with everyone at the club extremely grateful for the continued support.
“We are pleased to have once again been able to freeze season ticket prices for all supporters under 12, making football accessible to the next generation.
“Our prices for adult season tickets have been among the very cheapest in our division during each of the last two seasons and, while a small increase will be applied for the 2025/26 campaign, we retain our commitment to making attending games at Portman Road both affordable and value for money at a time of rising costs in so many areas.”
Season ticket holders who use the interest-free Direct Debit scheme will not need to do anything with their tickets renewing automatically unless cancelled prior to 5pm on Tuesday 29th April. An FAQ is available on the club site.

Extra 10% on your season ticket for lower division football ! Makes sense

My back of an envelope calculations suggest this might pocket the club an extra £1m which seems small-change compared to the backlash this might generate. Is it worth it?!

More matches though superblues9. Mine has gone from £20 a game this season to £18.20 a game next season. I'm OK with that given the amount everything seems to cost nowadays. Ultimately its supply and demand, if people don't want to renew at these prices then someone else will be waiting and happy to take the ticket.

thats not too bad considering the years we havent had too many price hikes. Lots more games to enjoy next season and a far superior team to watch than 4 years ago. Take my money

I don’t think it’s that unreasonable. This year we have been in the premiership with what I consider cheap tickets compared to other clubs. I think this year the increase was minimal or maybe the same as last year. When you see what some of the premiership clubs have done by stopping concessions etc I am not going to complain.

Can't see many real fans giving up their tickets for a 10% rise... Guess a few plastic ones might...

At least the games will be more competitive...

I have an over 65's ticket and that works out at around £12.90 per game

How likely is it that someone without a season ticket will be able to get one? Anyone know the length of the waiting list? I don't see too many fans not renewing.....

Best way to look it is compare this season and next season on a price per win or per point basis. Taking nothing for granted but I reckon next season we'll get better value.

Fair enough. More games, more income into the club. On a game-by-game basis it is cheaper.

I wonder what Ashton is going to do about the away fans standing in the front rows of the Cobbold stand. This previous was the centre spot but this season given to visiting fans who have persisted I standing & blocking the views of those in Block c

I think it is an outrage and you should all give your season tickets back... Or just transfer it to your good old pal Ralphinho!

I know it's almost inevitable, but maybe we should flip the narrative until after Saturdays game. If we pull off a miracle win at Newcastle (and it is possible) and West Ham lose to Brighton then its game on, yes its a big ask to then win next 3 also and hope they lose next 3 but Man City, Spurs and Forest are tough games for them. While it's possible still surely we need to try, you never know, they looked dire at weekend. Anything can happen at Newcastle a red carrdd, a penalty a Jack Clarke hat trick

I’m forever the optimist but have you seen West Shams GD compared to ours!

I too thinks that's about the level expected and with an exiting season ahead I'm not going to grumbled. I do wonder however, if concessions will be hit in 26/27 - it seems from the renewal pack, that they'll be looking closely at that over the next year.

Superblues9. Yes, actually it does make sense. Apart from the fact we've had much cheaper season tickets than many clubs for years now, including this season, with only 1 increase in the last 3 years, we will have 4 extra games next season. The overall price per game therefore will drop down. There are several clubs already in the championship with far more expensive season tickets than ours. And even some in lge1,& 2. So really, you have no basis for complaint. But knew there would be some who will. Ur the 1st one ive seen tho. Everyone else seems perfectly happy with it.

The price is very fair and we're still one of the cheapest around this level. It's possible a few Fair-weather fans, who are only interested in premier league football may disappear, but let's face it,we don't need them anyway.

Very fair £24 per game for me, down from £26! Mind you food and refreshments are way overpriced and I try not to buy in the ground, although bought a pint and a chocolate bar in Beaties before Arsenal game, nearly £9 extortionate!!! Makes my season ticket look even better value.
ashp19 added 14:16 - Apr 24
I think this is more than fair in the wider perspective of things - the club is in such a better place and such a good position moving forward , thanks to the hard work, vision and passion of everyone involved, including us the supporters and the part we play. Let the journey continue.

Season Tickets are a prized possession and if some are put off by this, esp given how the Club resisted taking advantage of this Premier League season even though we were already selling out, then I guess that cannot be down to a 10% rise! I do not think we have many plastic fans, will lose no more than usual, and I do not think this is unreasonable at all.
flykickingbybgunn added 14:52 - Apr 24
Did they not freeze it last year ? Dont see the rise as excessive.
