Ticket Woe For Many Mon 22nd May 2000 13:57 It now seems unlikely that any tickets will be left to go on general sale on Wednesday. Sales up to now have been quicker than expected and the club say that they could have sold the entire ground had they been given sufficient tickets. |
Further Ticket News Fri 19th May 2000 14:37 The Club have changed the method of general sale ticket purchasing. Because so many fans live some distance from Portman Road and in order to ensure the fair distribution all general sale tickets will be drawn from a barrel randomly from ticket applications made by post. There will be no in-person general ticket sales so if you want tickets and haven't got the requisite tickets, cards, friends in high places write to the Club (including a SAE, signed and dated cheque to Ipswich Town, and max ticket price) for a two per applicant before Wednesday, 12.00 noon. |

More Wembley News Fri 19th May 2000 13:01 Town supporters will be at the tunnel end of Wembley for the play-off final, as they were in the 1978 Cup Final. They will also be wearing their home kit, just like also as when the cup was won after winning the toss. The empty seats very visible at Oakwell last night have prompted speculation that Barnsley might not sell their full allocation and that there may be more tickets available to Town before next week is out. This is only speculation at the moment and may be wide of the mark. |
Scowcroft Doubt Fri 19th May 2000 12:48 James Scowcroft is Town's main worry for Wembley after leaving the field with a hamstring injury on Wednesday. The injury is thought to be one that may linger long enough to keep him out of the game. Martijn Reuser is his likely replacement. On a more cheering not John McGreal has started light training and may ba available for selection. Sean Friars has also restarted training after injury. |
Ticket Details Fri 19th May 2000 12:45 As usual with Town the allocation of the 33,800 tickets the Blues have been allocated is hugely complicated. But here goes. Priority is organised thus (deep breath)... |

Johnno Out Wed 17th May 2000 10:53 Town striker David Johnson is virtually certain to miss tonight's crunch game with Bolton Wanderers. The neck injury which saw him substituted in Sunday's disastrous first half an hour is still very sore, despite there being no breakage. |
