Time to play to Norwoods strengths?
at 11:39 2 Feb 2020

I wondered, especially with a tough away fixture to come, if it was time to try Norwood up front on his own. Most of his goals for Tranmere came that way, and was surely the reason we bought him.

I would go back to basics with a 4411 and leave any working on a new formation or philosophy until the summer now because we must get promoted. You can't just one day start training and then lining up like you are going to play similar to Sheffield United, this should have been done back in pre season.

It might be harsh on Jackson, but he is better in a two, and we don't seem to have the right partner for him. I would play Nolan and Dozzell in the wide areas to make us more compact.

I would go with this for Sunderland

--------------------------- Holy ------------------------------

Donacien Chambers. Woolfenden. Earl

Nolan. ------Downes.-------Huws. ----Dozzell

---------------------------Dobra --------------------------

Sheff Utd have just spent £22 million on a player.

That is unbelievable.

Mick Mills said something interesting during commentary
at 16:46 26 Jan 2020

He was talking about Teddy when he came on, and describing the number 10 position as a luxury position. I'd never really thought of it like that before and it is true.

He said from that position, you really need to be contributing goals and assists.

It's fair to give Teddy a bit a leeway, when he is getting just 15 or 20 minutes from the bench, and with his injury history, but I think we should be hoping for him to be doing this soon.

The comments should also apply to Judge now he is getting a run in his best position. I think we should be hoping for a bit more than 1 goal, which was in a 4-1 win.
After threads this week

about Tyrone Mings and Keiffer Moore,
It got me thinking about some of his other lower league buys.
I then remembered about Paul Digby from Barnsley reserves.
I then remembered how well he played, when we drew 0-0 at Middlesbrough.
I now can't envisage how we could get a draw at Middlesbrough, now or even if we got promoted and played them next season.
I know it was time for Mick to go, but I'm missing those first 3 years. It was direct, but winning football, with the bit of class coming from Mcgoldrick, and you always heard opposition managers and players saying how they hated playing us. That was our identity and I liked it.
I would rather be like that again, than trying to be something we are not, technical, or could ever be without serious money.

Is available as well from Sheffield United.
Would be a great signing.
If Warnock was to come in
at 13:35 31 Dec 2019

until the end of the season, would you try and get his successor in as well, to work alongside him, to get some kind of continuity in the summer.
Another 3 yellow cards already

Where has the discipline gone as well.
Time for Brett Mcgavin?
at 14:04 28 Dec 2019

I've seen a few threads where people are thinking time is catching up with Cole Skuse this season, and I wondered if people, especially those who watch the 23's, hought Mcgavin might be ready to try and make this position his.
I remember ME being keen on Nathan Jones
at 00:49 27 Dec 2019

when Mick left, but was put off by the compensation that Luton were wanting.
Maybe, it would be something that he would look at again, now he could get him with no costs like before.
Sir George in, to get us promoted
at 15:55 21 Dec 2019

and give us back some identity on the pitch.
1980s goal klaxon
at 17:35 16 Dec 2019

Does anybody know who did this each time we scored a goal, and if it was some kind of car horn or klaxon.
I thought it might be a nice bit of nostalgia to bring it back again.
Can a premier league club or someone rich within the game
at 19:48 23 Aug 2019

not help to save Bury?
It's scandalous all of the money at the top of our game, and nobody will step forward to help this old club: and their fans.
Pre match music for team to come out of tunnel to
at 18:12 7 Aug 2019

I know I will get some down votes, but if you try and look past that it's wrestling, it could be a good tune to come out to.
Even better, if you have Chambo headbutting the dressing room door open, and the team being accompanied to the tunnel by stewards, all captured by ifollow.

Players from abroad
at 11:34 27 Jul 2019

It will be a shame if no interest has been shown in getting anybody in from abroad. I'm sure we could have gotten in a good, tough centre half for not very much or nothing at all, who would have been an upgrade on the trialists we have at the moment.
Would Holy and Norwood be able to start pre season
at 12:01 3 Jun 2019

with us if we are starting before their contracts officially end at their current clubs?
I understand it will probably be a lot of running in that first week, but injuries can still happen.
Has anybody else come to really like
at 15:44 8 Apr 2019

the home kit. I don't even mind the magical vegas on it any more. I wish we didnt have to change again.
I won't miss the away one though!
Brendan Rodgers to Leicester
at 10:50 26 Feb 2019

I hope that Celtic don't come calling for Lambert.
Was glad to see Paul Lambert looking happier today
at 17:58 3 Jan 2019

I hope that means he is close to to getting in the players he wants, and that things like contracts are going to be sorted out. He seemed a bit downbeat in the last couple.
