Eaten raw it has the consistency of chewing rubber bands, quickly fried it goes crispy on the outside and softer in the middle, then return to be rubber bands once fully cooled! YUM! |  |

I first discovered it on YouTube watching a low carb video. I tried it but it was so long ago I can't remember if I liked it. I'll get some more. I recently went out for a meal at the Oyster Inn where one of the specials was battered halloumi but I didn't see that until after I had ordered. Instead I had the Butley burger which was amazing, highly recommended to burger enthusiasts. |  |

Doesn't taste like rubber bands, just squeaks against the teeth like rubber bands!!
Can't place a cheese similar in taste but it isn't strongly flavoured hence suits going into the halloumi burgers to bulk them out and add a different texture. [Post edited 13 Sep 2017 13:24]

Pulled pork is brilliant when done properly, but 2 years ago when literally everywhere seemed to decide they MUST have a pulled pork option on the menu it became ridiculous. Dry, microwaved stringy meat isn't good
Must have missed the halloumi craze - though I probably don't tend to be paying too much attention to those items on the menu! | |
