Time for a no confidence vote in this government? 10:34 - Nov 8 with 11698 viewsSteve_M

Incompetence piled on incompetence. Simon Clegg and Paul Jewell could do a better job of running the country.

fair point I spose. Why aren't the Liberals more popular?! They did a good job of reigning in the blue attack dogs.

The last election was about political vanity and game playing and the people didn't want it.

But the electorate can also take the view that the opposition has had a challenge to it's leader in a voted of no confidence by the PLP, are embroiled (like the Tories) in a number of rape and sexual harassment allegations and none of the big beasts are prepared to serve in the shadow cabinet.

The conclusion is that why swap one disorganised shambles for another disorganised shambles just five months after we elected the current disorganised shambles.

I see what you're saying, but the current lot in power just look so rotten and decrepit! I wonder whether people might now be even more willing to give Corbyn a chance purely because of that...

" it would be about basic competence, trust-worthiness"

Can't vote Liberal either if you are sticking by that comment - tuition fees etc etc.

Competetence wasn't the problem and I forgive them the tuition fees personally - it was the noble price paid for holding the country together.

Labour don't qualify under the basic competence part unless you want Diane Abbot as home secretary and McDonnell nationalising whatever companies he chooses using non-debt-debt or below market rates which would make the future external investment in the UK highly unlikely.

It's a shower on all sides.

It's utterly depressing.

You could also take the view that this current government is just five months old and that most of the cabinet was inherited from David Cameron.

Rather than putting the country through he time and expense of another election, especially now the Brexit negotiations are progressing, the Prime Minister should be given the opportunity to cut loose the dead wood and bring in some fresh talent.

That's not my opinion btw. I can't stand the old bag but from a neutral point of view it seems logical and may gain favour from the electorate.

Not quite...Alternatives to what? the manager? If so then there are lots of competent managers we could choose from, if it is the stewardship of the club, then given that we don't know who the alternatives are, if there are any, then we can't see a choice?

So throwing the country into chaos a couple of months after Article 50 was invoked because May thought she'd win a landslide was an acceptable reason for a general election, but forcing one now because the current government is evidently an ineffective, shambolic rabble would be a bad idea? Not sure I agree on that one mate.

Not looking good for the Maybot at the moment, No 10 saying the Jewish Chronicle is lying and that they knew nothing and didn't remove appointments from the ledger and Jewish Chronicle refusing to back down saying No 10 is misleading and lying and they have two senior sources stating their article is accurate.

Could get very, very messy.

And yet at the time you were gleefully bleating about how this would be the death of the Labour party and that the Tories would win a landslide. I don't recall an awful lot of condemnation coming from you.

btw bleating mean complaining. How can somebody complain about a desired result. Is a dictionary on your Christmas pressie list :-)
