Are we looking at the wrong dugout maybe?

I wonder if he's the one that Evans would look at? MM would definitely recommend someone like him and he's had a relationship with us through that channel for a while.

After the last couple of days I don't believe a word you say Phil! ;-)

That puts him one step above Redknapp, Pol Pot, a small jar of anthrax etc.

I'm just thinking about how Evans works (or doesn't) and here his gaze might have been. It's not as if he's not a candidate who doesn't fit the profile. Plus Evans' only decent appointment has been Mick.

Warne compared to Jewell and Keane would be streaks ahead.

Has surprised me how well they've done this season, I have to say. I thought he'd be an early season casualty.

Is there any hope left with JR Phil or is it completely dead?

Don't sugar coat it, I can take it

I can see Evans going for any of the bottom end Champ/Div3 managers a la Warne, Hurst, Clough etc.

Out of Hurst and Jones as my initial choices, I'm losing faith Evans knows what he's doing. I fear he's just assuming a Mick dressed as Chris Coleman will do it for him.

Paul Warme is the most reluctant of managers.
Didn’t want the Rotherham job, then did well as caretaker and got it permanently.
Said he hated it before, now grown into the role but I can’t see him managing outside of that club.

Was it ever really alive? 2 interviews for 4 candidates now and no job offer for any of them?

Evans obviously has other targets

But he'd be cheap. Which makes me think Evans would take the plunge on him as much as a few others.

I've just seen it reported Sunderland are paying Ross £350k, that in League 1 is staggering!

Of course there is hope until a proper official announcement is made. Even then, it is not unheard of for a manager to leave the club they joined before the season starts (Claridge wasn't it?)!

We could of course be looking at the wrong fixture completely- Tisdale will be at Wembley with Exeter on Monday. He’s doing a great job down there on a small budget.
